Excellent workmanship, very sharp, not too heavy, though the balance could be closer to the guard, which would help with wrist cuts. It reminds me of the British 1796 pattern, especially the fuller grind, curve, and sharpened point. The handle has a subtle reference to the Blucher. The blued blade is new to me and looks beautiful.

As a non-historical saber, this saber looks great. It's a bit too heavy and the balance is average, but it does the job. The only downside is the handle – it's definitely too narrow and doesn't have a belly for the saber's weight, so it's not very comfortable in hand. But overall, positive impressions. Weekend will be the cutting test.

It's not heavy, not too badly balanced, though not perfect. It arrived well secured, with a scabbard included, interesting color – for me, at this price, it's great.

This saber was not intended to be based on anything historically specific, but it turned out to be a proper heavy cavalry saber. The balance on my piece is about 18 cm from the guard, but it's so maneuverable/"oversteering" (perfectly balances on a finger with the blade up) that it's also pretty good for foot fencing. Unlike the "early" Cold Steel products, it has a very nice tapering blade profile. This is definitely not just a flat bar in the shape of a saber, but a really nice weapon.
