AUS-10 is a high-quality stainless steel produced by the Japanese company Aichi Steel, considered one of the best in the AUS steel series, used mainly in mid-range and high-end utility knives, produced mainly in Japan and Taiwan. The carbon content (0.95-1.1%) ensures high hardness, while chromium (13-14.5%) guarantees very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. The steel also contains manganese (up to 1%), silicon (up to 1%), phosphorus (up to 0.025%), and sulfur (up to 0.025%), which affect hardenability, impact strength, elasticity, and machinability, improving structural stability and maintaining mechanical properties. After hardening, the steel achieves a hardness of 58-61 HRC, offering an excellent balance between strength, edge retention, and ease of sharpening. It is comparable to 440C steel, differing in carbon content and the addition of vanadium, which improves structural homogeneity and increases abrasion resistance.
Spring Leaf Lock
Spring Leaf Lock is a folding knife lock by Cold Steel, combining a classic Liner Lock with an additional spring bar. When the blade is opened, the spring secures the liner, preventing accidental folding even during strong shocks. To close the knife, first move the safety guard aside and then release the lock. I have been using it for several years, sometimes even as an EDC. Very nice knife. I specifically bought the larger version and I don't regret it. Good not only for collecting, but also for use. One of my favorite folders.

Beautiful large folder, which nevertheless fits discreetly in the pocket. Solidly made and one of the best steels. The lock is so strong it can hurt your thumb when closing. Came razor sharp. With practice, it opens 'by itself.' Overall 4+. I recommend it.
