Cold Steel Ti-Lite 6" AUS8A Folding Knife

A folding knife with a total length of 330 mm, featuring a 152 mm Spear-Point blade made of AUS-8A stainless steel, which offers optimal durability, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. The blade has a satin finish. The handle features a Liner Lock and black Zytel scales. This model was designed by renowned American knife maker Phil Boguszewski.

AUS-8A stainless steel

The blade is made of AUS-8A stainless steel, which is valued for its excellent corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening, and a solid balance between durability and edge retention. After proper heat treatment, it performs well in everyday use.

Spear-Point profile blade

The blade, featuring a Spear-Point profile, is 152 mm long and 4 mm thick. It features a smooth cutting edge, finished with a semi-flat grind. The blade has been finished using a satin finish, which hides minor scratches. The blade geometry ensures optimal piercing performance while maintaining high strength.

Zytel handle with titanium tip-up clip

The handle scales are made of Zytel (Zy-Ex), a glass-fiber-reinforced nylon. Comfortable everyday carry is ensured by a spring-loaded titanium tip-up clip, which allows the knife to be easily attached to a belt or the edge of a pocket. The clip can be mounted on either the right or left side.

Liner Lock mechanism

When open, the blade is locked in place by a Liner Lock mechanism. The blade features a thumb stud, allowing for quick one-handed opening. In addition, thanks to the serrated flipper, the blade can be opened simply by pulling the knife out of your pocket. Once open, the flippers form a small double-sided cross guard that protects your hand from sliding onto the blade.

AUS-8A feature
AUS-8A
AUS-8A is a Japanese stainless steel, equivalent to 440B steel, characterized by a good balance between corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening, and edge retention. The carbon content (0.7-0.75%) affects the hardness of the steel, while chromium (13-14.5%) provides very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. Vanadium additives (up to 0.26%) improve the homogeneity of the steel's crystal structure and increase the blade's resistance to abrasion. The steel also contains molybdenum (0.1-0.3%), manganese (0.5%), silicon (0.4-1%), and nickel (0.49%). After proper heat treatment, AUS-8 steel achieves a hardness of 58-60 HRC, making it a solid material with good cutting properties and durability. The steel is widely used in mid-range knives, mainly produced in Japan and Taiwan, such as the popular Ontario RAT 1.
Zytel feature
Zytel
Zytel is a glass fiber reinforced nylon, mainly used for the production of knife handles. It is manufactured using injection molding, which allows for easy forming of durable components. This material is lightweight, durable, resistant to abrasion, cracking, temperature, and moisture, and provides a secure grip thanks to its non-slip surface structure. Zytel can be more or less flexible depending on the glass fiber content. Due to its durability and performance characteristics, it is popular in bushcraft and tactical knives.

I have been using it for several years, sometimes even as an EDC. Very nice knife. I specifically bought the larger version and I don't regret it. Good not only for collecting, but also for use. One of my favorite folders.

Beautiful large folder, which nevertheless fits discreetly in the pocket. Solidly made and one of the best steels. The lock is so strong it can hurt your thumb when closing. Came razor sharp. With practice, it opens 'by itself.' Overall 4+. I recommend it.

Huge like a small sword. There is no other like it. I recommend it to collectors.
