A contemporary adaptation of the legendary Viking battle axe. The handle is crafted from hickory wood, known for its exceptional durability and attractive appearance.
Thanks to the axe's extended length, users can utilize centrifugal force during tasks, allowing powerful swings even with its relatively light construction. While Norse warriors relied on this tool in combat, outdoor enthusiasts will value its performance for chopping wood, setting up campfires, or building shelters.
The axe head is forged from 1055 carbon steel, with a refined heat-treatment process that maximizes impact resistance and ensures the edge retains sharpness during use. The Viking Hand Axe features a cutting edge that measures 15 centimeters, offering a broad surface for effectively splitting even larger logs. In a survival scenario, the blade is also suitable for food preparation.

Great base for modification. The handle is well mounted. Excellent quality. Highly recommended. The anti-corrosion layer on the steel can be removed. Good quality steel, as always in Cold Steel products.

I don't know why people complain so much about this. You just need to fix the handle and the spot for the head, and it also serves as a great base for modifications. The axe is so strong that once I sharpened it, it could embed itself into any wood without any problem. I could pull myself up on it by hooking the beard on a branch, and you can easily practice with it—it's not going to fail. As for the handle, it's also well made, and if, like me, you want to modify it, I recommend removing the wax or whatever is on the handle first. As for the steel, they've put the word 'Taiwan' and an anti-corrosion coating, but I removed it because it looks more original. In short, it's an ideal base for modification and has excellent material quality!

Nice Tomahawk, like every Cold Steel product.

Nice Viking hatchet, good quality, I recommend it.
-
Decent and cheap equipment, a good base for a lot of modifications.

In factory condition, the axe head is loosely mounted on the handle, and the cutting edge needs slight reshaping and sharpening. This tool is more collectible than practical; it doesn't do well with felling trees, although it will prepare a camp and intrigue your friends.
