The weight and size of this knife are a plus, but the handle feels very plasticky, so I’m taking off one star. The assisted opening mechanism is helpful, though it packs quite a punch for such a lightweight knife. I recommend it.

Lightweight and compact, this everyday carry EDC knife is designed by Florida-based knifemaker Liong Mah.
Featuring a modified Sheepfoot blade profile, the knife utilizes D2 tool steel acclaimed for its aggressive cutting performance and impressive wear resistance. The blade is finished in satin, enhancing its matte appearance.
Deployment is achieved via a flipper tab, with rapid and seamless opening provided by the IKBS Ball Bearing Pivot System and the award-winning Assisted Opening mechanism developed by Ken Onion.
Once open, the flipper acts as a cross guard, preventing the hand from sliding onto the sharp edge. The classic Liner Lock ensures the blade remains open during use, while a jimped spine boosts grip stability and enhances control over the knife.
Handles are ergonomically contoured and constructed from durable glass-filled nylon.
A reversible spring stainless steel clip provides secure and convenient everyday carry by allowing attachment to a pocket or belt edge.

CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool) is an American brand of knives and tools, founded in 1994 by Paul Gillespie and Rod Bremer, former employees of Kershaw Knives. It gained worldwide publicity with the K.I.S.S. model, presented at the SHOT Show in 1997 - it sold out immediately and tripled the company's production capacity. CRKT built a reputation as a brand focused on innovation, as proven by its proprietary Deadbolt, Field Strip, and Kinematic systems, as well as the patented Veff-Serrations. The company is also known for cooperation with respected knifemakers such as Kit Carson, Ken Onion, and Liong Mah, thanks to which the range includes knives with distinctive character and functionality. Among the most recognizable models are the M16, Minimalist, and Pilar, which have become icons in the world of EDC and tactical knives. From the beginning of its operations, CRKT has consistently promoted the motto "Confidence in Hand" - emphasizing that its knives are meant to give the user not only a tool, but above all confidence in action in any situation.
