Folding knife crafted by Kit Carson. Features a blade with a Tanto profile forged from D2 tool steel, renowned for its excellent resistance to abrasion. The entire blade showcases a Black Stonewash finish, resulting in a matte surface that reduces reflections.

Smooth, one-handed blade deployment is facilitated by the ball bearing IKBS system, utilizing either a double-sided thumb stud or a flipper that doubles as a cross guard to protect your hand from accidental slips. A reliable and durable Deadbolt lock keeps the blade securely in place during use.

Handle scales, ergonomically shaped for comfort, are made from rugged black aluminum. A steel clip (tip-up/r) provides easy and secure attachment to a belt, pocket, or gear.

I bought it about 2 years ago, and the knife's workmanship is top-notch, the blade holds firmly with no play whatsoever, either vertically or horizontally, and that's for the pros—now for the subjectively felt downsides: opening with the flipper requires overcoming a pretty strong resistance. For its size, the knife is quite heavy. In addition, this is the most uncomfortable knife I own—due to the short handle plus guard/flipper, I feel cramped holding it, and on top of that, the clip on the handle digs into my hand. All of this makes it an impractical knife for me, which is a shame because it's extremely well made and, in my opinion, very attractive, with a military look.

A timeless design that I really like. Personally, I think D2 steel performs better than MagnaCut. As for the size, I recommend purchasing the larger model in the tanto shape. However, the new lock unfortunately does not work well; the button is very small and it's difficult to operate, plus the assisted opening spring makes it hard to close the knife with one hand.
