MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs), as a component of the Objective Force Warrior project. Designed to serve as a versatile concealment pattern, its purpose is to provide effective camouflage across various terrains and under changing environmental conditions.
Featuring seven distinct colors, the MultiCam pattern creates seamless gradient transitions between green, brown, and beige shades. Thanks to this design, MultiCam adapts to its surroundings—displaying green tones in wooded environments and blending into sandy hues in desert landscapes. Within Central and Eastern Europe, its performance excels during autumn or in areas with dried vegetation. Now recognized globally, MultiCam is utilized by numerous military and elite units. In 2010, the US military adopted this camouflage for troops deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian access to the pattern has also led to its widespread popularity among military enthusiasts and airsoft communities.
