MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage pattern engineered in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The design objective focused on developing a highly adaptable camouflage scheme capable of delivering effective concealment across a variety of terrains and shifting environmental conditions. Featuring seven distinct colors, the MultiCam pattern produces subtle transitions between green, brown, and beige tones. This enables remarkable versatility, allowing the pattern to reflect greens in woodland environments or transition to browns and beiges within arid, desert landscapes—performing especially efficiently in Central and Eastern European settings during autumn or amid dried vegetation. MultiCam has earned international acclaim, widely adopted by military and special operations forces globally. In 2010, the US Army officially selected this camouflage to outfit troops deployed to Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). I bought this set for the Bearcat, it fits perfectly and is very well thought out. The drop is very easy, nothing gets caught or sticks out. It's best to have a storm backpack or a rear panel attached, then it looks very good. I have never been disappointed with Direct Action, their equipment is used by Special Forces, which says something.
