MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage design introduced in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, in partnership with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs), as a component of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. Designed to provide maximum versatility, the pattern functions effectively across diverse terrains and under varying environmental conditions. The composition of the MultiCam pattern features seven distinct colors, offering seamless gradients between greens, browns, and beiges. This enables the pattern to adapt fluidly to its surroundings—blending into green tones in wooded areas, or merging with browns and beiges in desert landscapes—making it especially suitable for Central and Eastern European settings during autumn or among dried vegetation. MultiCam has earned global acclaim and is utilized by numerous military forces and special operations units worldwide. In 2010, the US Army officially designated this pattern for troops deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system.
