Eberlestock Skycrane II Backpack 73.3 l - Dry Earth
Rugged backpack offering a capacity of 73.3 liters in Dry Earth, crafted from abrasion- and damage-resistant nylon, further strengthened by a Rip-Stop weave. The system is composed of three components: two packs, specifically the Skycrane J79 and the Little Brother G1, along with a removable top LP1 flap that doubles as a bag.
Engineered for modular expansion, the setup enables integration with additional accessories, such as an A4SS sleeve dedicated to transporting long-barreled firearms. All three modules of the Skycrane II—packs and flap—can function independently or as parts of a modular configuration.
durable nylon, Rip-Stop weave, zippers with pulls
Constructed from nylon known for its exceptional durability, the backpack is designed for demanding use. Enhanced with a Rip-Stop weave, the material effectively prevents localized damage from expanding. Zippers on this model feature pulls for easy and efficient opening and closing.
2 separate backpacks with spacious loading space
The foundation of the set is the J79 backpack, featuring a large main compartment outfitted with MOLLE/PALS webbing. Incorporating Eberlestock’s patented Cam Expansion System, the pack offers extendable cargo capacity and supports the addition of extra accessory elements. Numerous pockets and sections are incorporated into the design to facilitate the organization of gear.
Serving as the second module, the Little Brother backpack provides a capacity of 35 liters and offers access from both the top and front through a zipper. The design includes a dedicated hydration water tank placeholder, a compartment engineered for PRC-117 radio compatibility, as well as compartments for essential equipment. A special tunnel built into the rear panel enables attachment of a weapon cover.
Detachable flap with bag functionality
Offering a practical solution, the model comes with a detachable top flap providing a 5-liter capacity, serving as a standalone bag that can be worn around the hips or carried over the shoulder using the included carrying strap. The design features zippered pockets for secure organization of small gear and maintains compatibility with the MOLLE/PALS attachment system.
MOLLE/PALS straps, mounting holes, rectangular Velcro
Equipped with multiple MOLLE/PALS system straps and precision LCS (Laser Cut System) holes, the model enables secure attachment of extra gear. Compression straps fitted with buckles allow for minimizing the backpack’s size or fastening additional equipment. The front rectangular Velcro area is ideal for securing patches or emblems, such as a national flag, unit badge, or Morale Patch.
ergonomic shoulder straps, frame, breathable mesh, carrying handle
The carrying system features a lightweight yet durable frame crafted from an alloy of aluminum and plastic, delivering both stability and preventing the backpack from losing its shape. The rear padding is finished with breathable mesh, which greatly improves comfort, particularly during extended use or when engaging in activities in warm weather. The back panel design facilitates air circulation, helping to reduce moisture build-up.
Ergonomically contoured shoulder straps along with adjustable straps (hip and chest) provide a custom fit to the user’s body and maintain a high level of comfort during trekking. A sturdy carrying handle is integrated at the top for convenient lifting and transport of the backpack.

Eberlestock is an American brand founded in 1985 by Glenn Eberle, an Olympian and pilot. It began with the development of a lightweight and strong rifle stock, which became the foundation for further innovations. The Just One Pack backpack, which allows you to carry a weapon on your back while keeping your hands free, proved to be a breakthrough. The company is famous for its modular systems, such as the Mainframe™ frame, tested for a load capacity of nearly 600 kg. The range also includes models created in collaboration with outdoor organizations, including Team Elk Pack from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Eberlestock is also developing its own line of Doppel:Ganger® camouflage, including Mountain, Skye, and Mirage variants, which use a double image technique to increase camouflage effectiveness. Today, the Boise, Idaho-based brand is recognized as a leader in the creation of equipment for hunters, tactical operators, and outdoor enthusiasts.

YKK zippers are high-quality zippers commonly used in clothing and accessories, manufactured by the Japanese YKK Corporation - one of the world's largest zipper manufacturers.
Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.
MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.
PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.
LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.
