Eberlestock Skycrane II Backpack 73.3 l - Military Green
Backpack offering a 73.3-liter capacity in Military Green, crafted from abrasion and damage-resistant nylon, and further reinforced with a Rip-Stop weave. The system is made up of three components: two packs—Skycrane J79 and Little Brother G1—plus a removable top LP1 flap that can function as a bag.
Engineered for modular expansion, the design supports integration with additional modules, such as an A4SS cover suitable for carrying long firearms. Each of the three elements in the Skycrane II model may be deployed independently or configured within the broader modular system.
durable nylon, Rip-Stop weave, zippers with pulls
Constructed from nylon known for its exceptional durability, the backpack is ideal for demanding and frequent use. Featuring a Rip-Stop weave, the fabric is engineered to prevent minor damage from escalating across the material. The model utilizes zippers fitted with pulls to ensure smooth and convenient operation.
2 separate backpacks with spacious loading space
The foundation of the set is the J79 backpack, featuring a roomy main compartment outfitted with MOLLE/PALS webbing for modular attachment. Incorporating Eberlestock’s proprietary Cam Expansion System, the backpack enables the expansion of carrying capacity and integration of additional accessory components. Multiple pockets and internal organizers are designed for efficient gear management.
The second element of the system is the Little Brother backpack with a 35-liter capacity. Dual-access is provided through both a top and front zipper. Integrated features include a hydration bladder sleeve, a radio compartment compatible with PRC-117 units, and additional pockets for essential equipment. Positioned along the rear panel, a dedicated tunnel permits secure attachment of a weapon cover.
Detachable flap with bag functionality
A practical detachable top flap with a 5-liter capacity is featured in the model, offering versatility as a separate bag that can be worn on the hips or carried over the shoulder using the included carrying strap. Secure storage for small gear is ensured by zippered pockets, and full compatibility with the MOLLE/PALS mounting system is provided.
MOLLE/PALS straps, mounting holes, rectangular Velcro
Equipped with multiple MOLLE/PALS webbing straps and precision-cut LCS (Laser Cut System) holes, the model offers versatile options for attaching extra gear. Compression straps featuring buckles provide the ability to minimize the backpack’s size or secure additional equipment. A rectangular patch of Velcro positioned on the front facilitates the attachment of various patches or emblems, such as a national flag, unit badge, or Morale Patches.
ergonomic shoulder straps, frame, breathable mesh, carrying handle
The load-bearing system relies on a lightweight but durable frame crafted from an aluminum and plastic blend, which guarantees stability and maintains the pack’s shape. Back sections feature a layer of breathable mesh that greatly improves comfort during extended wear, especially in hotter climates or intensive activity. The functional design encourages airflow, reducing the buildup of moisture.
Ergonomically contoured shoulder straps and adjustable hip and chest straps provide a tailored fit to the wearer’s body and deliver excellent comfort on the trail. An integrated carrying handle is stitched at the top, ensuring easier lifting and transportation of the backpack.

Eberlestock is an American brand founded in 1985 by Glenn Eberle, an Olympian and pilot. It began with the development of a lightweight and strong rifle stock, which became the foundation for further innovations. The Just One Pack backpack, which allows you to carry a weapon on your back while keeping your hands free, proved to be a breakthrough. The company is famous for its modular systems, such as the Mainframe™ frame, tested for a load capacity of nearly 600 kg. The range also includes models created in collaboration with outdoor organizations, including Team Elk Pack from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Eberlestock is also developing its own line of Doppel:Ganger® camouflage, including Mountain, Skye, and Mirage variants, which use a double image technique to increase camouflage effectiveness. Today, the Boise, Idaho-based brand is recognized as a leader in the creation of equipment for hunters, tactical operators, and outdoor enthusiasts.

YKK zippers are high-quality zippers commonly used in clothing and accessories, manufactured by the Japanese YKK Corporation - one of the world's largest zipper manufacturers.
Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.
MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.
PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.
LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.
