I have been using this thermos for some time now. The thermos itself is fine, keeps the temperature well, is tight and doesn't leak liquids outside, etc. But Esbit has a problem with making airtight inner lids/caps, because the caps are not sealed inside and during washing, water gets inside the cap and stays there. Because the water stays there, it mixes with the styrofoam inside, leaving all kinds of smells and contaminants, making the thermos have an unpleasant odor and possibly contaminating the food inside.

I've had the thermos for over a year. Since April, it’s been used 5 days a week. It holds heat very well. Liquid meals stay hot longer than, for example, potatoes with pork chop. After about 3 months, the metal cover of the lid fell off (hot glue should help); a few days later, the cover of the button/valve at the top of the lid fell off. Both faults do not affect the main properties of the thermos.
