The Esee 4 is one of my favorite knives, alongside the CM6. Great ergonomics, durability, and ease of use and sharpening in the field. It's expensive, but for the price you get a truly well thought-out design and excellent warranty.
ESEE Model 4 Fixed Blade Knife
A robust survival and tactical knife featuring a Full Tang design, meaning the tang of the blade extends through the entire handle. The blade measures 11.1 cm in length, utilizes a Drop-Point profile, and is crafted from 1095 carbon steel. Renowned for its razor-sharp edge, 1095 carbon steel offers excellent ease of sharpening.
Flat grind, black powder coating
The knife's blade features a flat grind, providing excellent cutting performance. A sand powder coating has been applied to the blade's surface, helping to minimize glare and offering enhanced corrosion resistance. For superior control during cutting tasks, deep jimping (notching) is integrated along the spine of the blade. Additionally, a cross guard ensures your hand does not slip forward onto the blade.
Micarta handle
Handle scales crafted from micarta feature a textured, non-slip finish that ensures a firm hold during use. A hole is present at the rear of the handle, allowing a cord to be threaded through, providing added security against tool loss.
