The locking system enables the baton’s segments to be extended and locked securely with minimal effort—no need for a forceful flick. Releasing the baton is done by pressing a button located at the end of the grip. This is an optimal choice for situations requiring safe, dependable, and discreet deployment or retraction of the expandable baton, such as on public transit or near bystanders.
Segments are produced from cold-drawn seamless tubing CSN 12060 = CK55 - DIN 17200, C55E - EN 10083-1 + A1 grade, made of Cro-Mo 4130 steel. The addition of chromium and molybdenum ensures resistance to high tensile, flexural, and breaking forces. Furthermore, baton segments feature a black nickel-zinc coating (Ni-ZN) for enhanced abrasion resistance and are hardened to 40-50 HRC.
The handle is designed with an ergonomically contoured H-type grip (Anti-slip) made from synthetic, anti-allergic rubber that offers a rugged, non-slip surface for a steady and secure hold.
The Easy-Lock system allows the baton to be deployed in two ways: conventionally with a flick or by pulling the tip. The tip-pull method is ideal when a full swing is impractical or discretion is required. Closing the baton can be done one-handed by pressing the release button at the base and folding by bracing the tip against any solid surface.
