Fjallraven Nordic Heater Cap - Black

A black cap designed for use in low temperatures, during strong winds and precipitation. The design includes an insulated main section, a fur finish on the visor, ear flaps and edges, and a system that allows the coverage range to be adjusted to the current weather conditions.

The ear flaps can be folded and fastened at the sides with buttons. When lowered, they protect the ears, cheeks and neck. An additional strap allows them to be fastened under the chin, stabilizing the cap during strong gusts of wind.

The outer layer is made of 100% polyester. The material is lightweight, durable and resistant to everyday use. The applied waterproofing reduces water penetration and supports protection against moisture and wind. The lining is made of 100% polyamide. The smooth inner layer improves wearing comfort and makes it easier to put the cap on and take it off.

Insulation is provided by synthetic polyester filling, which traps warmed air and reduces heat loss. The fibres retain their properties even in elevated humidity. The cap is equipped with a membrane made of 100% polyurethane. It limits the penetration of water and wind through the material and complements the protection provided by the outer layer.

The inner finish and elements of the ear flaps are made of Arctic Fur material, composed of 100% acrylic. The synthetic fur features longer, soft fibres that create additional space to trap warmed air.

Arctic Fur covers primarily the inner side of the ear flaps and the edges of the cap. When lowered, the ear flaps shield the ears, the sides of the face and part of the neck, reducing their contact with cold air. The soft structure improves wearing comfort.

The ear flaps can be raised and fastened at the sides of the cap with buttons. This arrangement reduces the coverage range when the ears do not require full protection.

When lowered, the ear flaps protect the ears and the sides of the head. The strap allows the ear flaps to be fastened under the chin. The fastening reduces the cap shifting and helps keep the ear flaps close to the face.
