Camouflage Flecktarn

Flecktarn represents a classic German military camouflage design, officially adopted by the Bundeswehr in 1990. Characterized by a composition of small, irregular spots in five tones—dark green, olive, brown, black, and beige—Flecktarn achieves effective concealment through the distribution of numerous dots and soft transitions between shades. This disrupts the outline of the wearer in woodland environments, scrub areas, and amongst dense forest undergrowth. Engineered specifically for the European climate, and particularly the temperate zone, Flecktarn remains the standard camouflage pattern of the German army and is also utilized by other military forces and police units. Renowned for its performance, the pattern has inspired various adaptations and versions internationally.
