I do not recommend them. I bought them because I thought the Commander GTX was the only real successor to the Haix BW 2005. They are tight in the toe (much too tight, and I have a normal foot and I'm lightweight, 70 kg, 180 cm). They have a very soft tongue, which makes your leg bend at the shin instead of at the ankle joint, and you can already see that even after a few years of use with mud and rubble, the boot will not break in where it should. The shoes are strange, I feel like their design is not suitable for anything, literally: 1. They are generally tight, they hold the foot very well, but in the wrong way, because the point is not to literally concrete the foot in, but to have minimal looseness and maximum stabilization - that's not the case here, it's just concrete and you can see that breaking them in over time won't help much. 2. They have a sole like teenage girls' shoes in goth style. It doesn't match the anatomy of a man's foot and the upper construction of the shoe at all. 3. The heel is narrow and very high. Combined with the slope at the front, you get the feeling that you're walking in heavy women's shoes, plus the sensation that you could fall forward. They are stable to the sides and back, so that's a plus. 4. Anatomically, the foot does not fit these shoes from the bottom. It's not the insole's fault; the shoes are simply too rounded inside, so the foot doesn't rest but bends under this parabola (the shoes are cylindrical inside), and their tightness makes this effect worse. 5. The connection of the tongue to the shoe ends too early. Water can get inside the shoe unexpectedly because there is a huge gap, and if that happens, the adventure is over because that's the biggest nightmare for Gore-Tex boots. Advantages: 1. Good balance between their weight, thickness, and durability. Top league stuff. 2. The lace hooks are excellent, just like BW 2005, exactly what I expected. 3. Overall quality at the highest level. 4. These are not armored and very wintery boots like the BW 2005. They are light, sometimes thin and breathable, and very durable. Unfortunately, I haven't tested them in extremely cold conditions, but I bet they will cope. 5. Probably good for women. Generally, I strongly advise against them; these boots are a misunderstanding.
