Military hat ACU (Army Combat Uniform) equipped with four ventilation holes with a mesh to prevent insects from entering. The wide brim provides excellent protection from the sun and rain. It has a string with length adjustment to fasten under the chin.
Above the brim, a tape, is sewn in, allowing small items (e.g., insect repellent, camouflage elements) to be attached to the hat.
Made from high-quality PolyCotton RipStop material (60% cotton, 40% polyester), characterized by high resistance to abrasion and tearing, and it is also lighter and dries faster than 100% cotton material.
The hat is made in the Universal Camouflage Pattern, which is used by line troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Camouflage UCP
UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a digital camouflage pattern introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as a successor to US Woodland and Desert. It combines camouflage functions in various environments - forest, desert and urban - which is why shades of green and beige are combined with gray. The spot arrangement is based on the MARPAT pattern, and the pastel, low-contrast colors create a pixelated micro-pattern that blends well into the environment at short distances but merges into a uniform silhouette at greater distances. UCP showed high effectiveness in infrared, which contributed to its introduction, but it was eventually replaced by OCP camouflage based on the MultiCam pattern.

I've been using it in the mountains for several years. No signs of wear. I recommend spraying it with "antirain" protection from above – it comes in handy during sudden rains.

Well sewn, the brim is quite stiff and the whole hat holds its shape. When walking in the forest, it's worth having something like this on your head. It protects well against branches and... cobwebs :-) Especially now in autumn, there are plenty of cobwebs that you "catch" on your face and head when picking mushrooms....
