Helikon-Tex ACU PolyCotton Rip-Stop Patrol Cap - UCP

Patrol cap with a short visor, made in UCP camouflage. The model is sewn from durable PoliCotton Rip-Stop material, which is a combination of cotton and polyester. In the back part, a velcro panel is placed for attaching emblems, flags, unit markings, or so-called Morale Patches. The visor protects the eyes and face from the sun, making the cap well-suited for outdoor activities, at the shooting range, during service, or for daily use. The patrol cap is made in Universal Camouflage Pattern colors, used by line units in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The cap is made from high-quality PoliCotton Rip-Stop material with a composition of 60% cotton and 40% polyester. The fabric is characterized by high resistance to abrasion and tearing, and thanks to the addition of polyester, it is lighter and dries faster than material made from 100% cotton. The material has a grammage of 215 g/m2, ensuring an appropriate combination of durability and user comfort.

velcro panel, hidden pocket

On the back of the cap, a velcro strip is sewn to allow the attachment of selected emblems, such as a national flag, unit emblem, or Morale Patches. This allows the cap to have a personalized character and adapt its appearance to individual preferences.

Inside the cap, there is a hidden pocket where small items like a map can be stored. The model is also well-suited for forest hikes, protecting the head from the sun, falling leaves, and insects.

UCP Camouflage

UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a digital camouflage pattern introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as a successor to US Woodland and Desert. It combines camouflage functions in various environments - forest, desert and urban - which is why shades of green and beige are combined with gray. The spot arrangement is based on the MARPAT pattern, and the pastel, low-contrast colors create a pixelated micro-pattern that blends well into the environment at short distances but merges into a uniform silhouette at greater distances. UCP showed high effectiveness in infrared, which contributed to its introduction, but it was eventually replaced by OCP camouflage based on the MultiCam pattern.
