Helikon-Tex Cargo Shorts - ERDL

ERDL camouflage cargo shorts designed for heavy-duty use and convenient gear organization. The refined construction ensures full freedom of movement, and the extensive pocket layout allows for appropriate placement of essential items, providing quick access to them.

The model is made from durable PolyCotton Stretch fabric reinforced with Rip-Stop weave. The thoughtful fit and materials used guarantee appropriate mobility and comfort when moving in diverse terrain and urban conditions.

The shorts are made from durable PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop material with a grammage of 220 g/m2. The combination of polyester and cotton ensures high durability and very good breathability, translating to comfort during use in higher temperatures and during intense movement. The use of synthetic fibers shortens the fabric's drying time after contact with water or sweat. The addition of elastane provides fabric stretchability, enhancing freedom of movement.

The applied Rip-Stop weave strengthens the material's structure and limits the spread of potential abrasions or mechanical damage during intensive use. The characteristic fiber grid improves the fabric's tear resistance and increases its durability, which is particularly important when using the shorts in field conditions.

The model is equipped with 8 pockets allowing for convenient placement of handy accessories:

• 2 classic hip pockets
• 2 rear pockets with velcro-fastened flaps
• 4 cargo pockets (2 on each thigh - smaller front and larger rear)

All cargo pockets feature velcro flaps reducing the risk of accidental content spillage during movement. Additionally, side pleats have been used to increase pocket capacity when carrying larger items.

The shorts feature wide belt loops compatible with belts up to 50 mm wide. Thanks to the solid construction, they ensure stable retention of equipment at the hips, even when carrying heavier accessories.

The ERDL (Engineer Research and Development Laboratory) camouflage was developed in 1948 by an American research laboratory. It did not come into wide use until the 1960s, during the Vietnam War, mainly among special and reconnaissance units. It was on its basis that later designs, such as the Woodland and M81, known around the world today, were developed. The green-brown camouflage palette works well in dense vegetation, European deciduous forests, thickets and mixed woodlands.
