Great quality for this price. The material is solid, the jacket keeps you warm and protects against rain and wind. It has many pockets and a high collar with a hood. I am very satisfied.
Helikon-Tex Gunfighter Softshell Shark Skin Windblocker Jacket - Shadow Grey
Lightweight Softshell jacket in Shadow Grey, crafted from advanced, flexible SharkSkin material. Delivers outstanding protection against wind and rainfall while maintaining superior thermal efficiency. Ideal for both tactical missions and everyday wear.
SharkSkin material, breathability 8000 g/m2
Constructed from SharkSkin material, the jacket offers multidirectional flexibility. The interior and collar feature a soft fleece lining for added comfort. From the wrist to the elbow, the sleeves are reinforced with durable fabric to enhance resilience. Boasting a breathability rating of 8000 g/m2, the jacket effectively manages moisture and reduces the risk of overheating. Underarm ventilation openings equipped with zippers allow for adjustable airflow. Thanks to the unique material, branches, leaves, and other debris from the forest floor will not cling to the jacket, unlike with standard fleece outerwear.
Windblocker membrane, Chemours Teflon waterproofing
The Windblocker membrane serves as a flexible, breathable shield engineered to efficiently stop wind penetration. Integrated seamlessly into the garment’s fabric, the membrane functions to retain body heat and ensure thermal comfort. Moisture vapor can escape through the membrane, making it suitable for demanding activities in variable weather conditions. The outer shell features a Chemours Teflon coating, offering reliable protection against dirt and light moisture.
7 spacious pockets
Equipped with 7 functional pockets, the jacket ensures optimal storage capacity:
- two zippered chest pockets, fitted with D-rings and internal organizers for small items
- two sleeve pockets positioned at shoulder level, featuring openings designed for headset cables
- one zippered pocket on the left sleeve, located just above the wrist
- one interior pocket secured with Velcro closure
- one so-called poacher’s pocket at the lower back, providing two separate access points—one on each side
Hood with visor, adjustable cuffs
A roomy hood concealed within the collar features a soft visor that shields the wearer from water streaming directly onto the face. The hood is integrated into the collar in a manner that, when worn, keeps the neck fully covered and protected. Sensitive areas remain guarded from drafts. Drawstrings enable easy adjustment for an optimal fit. The traditional elastic cuffs have been replaced by a Velcro fastener, allowing for flexible sizing whether gloves or accessories such as a watch are worn.
Velcro panels
Outfitted with velcro panels on each shoulder, the jacket enables users to attach a range of patches or emblems—such as national flags, unit insignia, or Morale Patches—providing a customizable and distinct appearance.
YKK zippers
The primary fastening system features a two-way zipper produced by the acclaimed Japanese manufacturer YKK.

So far, I've only used it for a short time, but the jacket is very functional and does its job excellently – it perfectly protects against wind, drizzle, and wet snow. The high collar protects the neck and the adjustable hood protects the head. The underarm vents help regulate comfort during intense activity. The only small downside for me is that the side pockets are placed high, and keeping my hands in them is not very comfortable. Also, I urgently needed it, and there weren't many colors and sizes left to choose from.

The Helikon-Tex Gunfighter jacket in Shadow Grey is really a great choice and I am very satisfied with it. It is very nice and surprisingly warm – in my case, when temperatures are above 5 degrees Celsius, I wear it over just a t-shirt and it works perfectly in such a combination. The Shark Skin material with the Windblocker membrane provides excellent protection against the wind, so thermal comfort is maintained at a high level. What especially deserves praise is the super large number of pockets, which are arranged very intuitively and allow you to easily store all the necessary small items. The whole thing is solidly made and very practical, so I honestly recommend this model to anyone looking for a good softshell.
-
Very nice and quite durable jacket. It is quite warm and blocks the wind well. Moreover, after being impregnated, it also works well in the rain. The hood rolled up in the collar feels like having a strong, thick scarf around your neck. And in slightly warmer moments, or during activity, the ventilation systems do their job very well.

The jacket fits great. I am 173 cm tall, weigh 75 kg, and my chest circumference is 105 cm. I use this jacket during Bundeswehr reserve exercises and I am completely satisfied. On colder days, I can easily wear a fleece and a vest underneath. The zippers do not interfere with the equipment I carry. The product is of very good quality. The Flecktarn pattern perfectly matches the original Bundeswehr camouflage.
-
The jacket is worth recommending, I have had it for three years and even wear it in winter at temperatures of -10°C; under the jacket, it's enough to wear a long-sleeve shirt and a sweatshirt without going overboard with fancy thermal clothing. Looking at the reviews for the Helikon winter jacket, I would recommend this softshell more.
-
The jacket is very comfortable, and the fleece lining effectively protects against cold even at temperatures around zero. The DWR layer works well – snow and light rain easily run off the material. In size XS, the underarm area may be a bit tight, but overall the jacket fits well. The Taiga Green color is slightly lighter and more green in real life than in the photo, but it still looks very good.

Awesome jacket, I bought it in flecktarn camouflage, great colors, nice pockets, hood, drawstrings, really cool. As a hiking enthusiast, I can say it's sufficient, the camouflage is really nice, I recommend it.
-
The jacket is very well made. The inner texture is pleasant. It is self-sufficient for spring and autumn, and in winter you can fit a thicker fleece underneath. Practical pockets and a stowable hood. I recommend it!

Like all Helikon clothes, the jacket is designed with style, creativity, and attention to detail... almost. However, as with all (at least the ones I own) Helikon clothes, the designers were defeated by these very small details. For example, the chest pockets are a nice idea—until you wear a backpack, and the jacket is meant for conditions where we usually do have a backpack. The zippers from the pockets then end up directly under the backpack straps, either making them inaccessible or causing them to dig into your body. The hood with a Velcro fastener is great, unless you’re wearing any Helikon cap, whose back Velcro quickly catches on the jacket’s Velcro. The pocket at the back bottom of the jacket is an interesting idea, but I recommend putting anything heavier than a lighter in that pocket and checking the overall experience, especially when trying to access it. Etc., etc. In a word—there’s no need to overdo it with the gadgets. Other than that, I recommend it.

The military jacket impresses with its durability and functionality. Made of solid materials, it provides good protection against wind and cold, and the numerous pockets increase its practicality. Despite its military character, it is comfortable and works great for everyday use. It is a reliable choice for people who appreciate durability and a universal style.
-
The jacket is very comfortable, made of high-quality and aesthetically pleasing material, and the pockets, hood, and other features are functionally arranged. It is truly a comfortable and durable jacket.
-
The material from which the jacket is made is very good. The pockets and their arrangement are appropriate. The price is a bit high, but it's a jacket, so I recommend waiting for a discount. Two things to pay attention to are the hood that can be tucked into the collar. After hiding the hood, the collar is filled with it, so you can always feel it when moving your head and it creates some resistance, which can be annoying for some people (including me, as I mainly wear high collars). The second is the size, because the jacket is quite tight inside and I can't imagine wearing it over a zippered sweatshirt (e.g. Helikon Patriot MK2), unless you try going up a size.
-
One of the best softshells I've ever had. Elegant, comfortable, durable, and importantly, quite affordable. I really like the Helikon brand because it offers good products at reasonable prices. Plus, we support a Polish manufacturer. I honestly recommend it.

180cm tall, 80kg weight, athletic build, size L is perfect. It repels water nicely in the rain, I don't know about over time, but it's already survived a few rainy days at the shooting range. The pockets, cut, and craftsmanship are fully satisfying. As for abrasion resistance—Velcro, both hard and soft, will definitely cause some pilling. If someone is planning on using a tactical belt and only carrying a handgun, it's a great choice. However, when using a long gun, the belt rubbing against the jacket (especially a low-quality belt with sharp material edges) seems to start wearing out the jacket. Personally, I wear it at the shooting range but tend to spare it since I don't want to keep buying new jackets. Definitely recommend.
