Constructed from SharkSkin fabric, the jacket offers multidirectional flexibility. The interior and collar feature a fleece lining for added comfort. Sleeves are reinforced with durable fabric from wrist to elbow for enhanced abrasion resistance. Featuring a breathability rating of 8000 g/m2, the jacket effectively helps manage moisture and minimize sweating. Underarm ventilation zippers allow for adjustable airflow as needed. Thanks to the material, branches, leaves, and other forest debris do not adhere to the jacket as can happen with traditional fleece outerwear.

Windblocker membrane, Chemours Teflon waterproofing

The Windblocker membrane serves as a flexible and breathable shield, engineered to efficiently block wind. Integrated directly into the fabric, it helps retain body heat and ensures a consistent level of thermal comfort. Moisture vapor escapes with ease, making this membrane suitable for active use in variable weather conditions. An outer layer features a Chemours Teflon coating, delivering reliable protection against dirt and light rainfall.

7 spacious pockets

Designed with 7 functional pockets, the jacket ensures optimal utility for outdoor and tactical activities:

  • Two zippered chest pockets come fitted with D-rings and compact organizers for gear management
  • A pair of sleeve pockets positioned at shoulder level, each featuring headphone cable ports
  • A single zippered pocket located on the left sleeve, just above the wrist
  • An internal pocket secured with Velcro closure
  • A spacious poacher-style pocket placed on the lower back, offering dual independent entries—accessible from both right and left sides

Hood with visor, adjustable cuffs

A generously sized hood, discreetly stowed within the collar, features a soft visor designed to shield the wearer from water pouring down onto the face. The hood is securely integrated with the collar so that, even when folded, it effectively covers the neck, preventing exposure to drafts in vulnerable areas. Hood fit can be tailored using the integrated drawstrings. Traditional elastic cuffs have been substituted with a Velcro fastener, allowing for easy adjustment to accommodate wrist size, glove use, or accessories such as a watch.

Equipped with velcro panels on both shoulders, the jacket enables easy attachment of a variety of patches or emblems, including national flags, unit badges, or Morale Patches, ensuring a customizable and individualized appearance.

    The quality is excellent, but the sizing is not so great. Normally, 2XL gives me a comfortable fit, but in this jacket I can barely fit even wearing just a T-shirt, let alone with a sweatshirt or something thicker underneath. To clarify: I’m fairly tall, but I don’t have a particularly bulky build. Since the delivery takes a very long time, I don’t feel like going through the return process, especially since there isn’t a larger size available for exchange. So I’m keeping the jacket because I really like its quality, but I’m still looking for a model that will be truly large and comfortable.

    The jacket does its job; as usual, Helikon does not disappoint. Size XL for a height of 186 cm and 92 kg leaves a bit of room when worn over a sweatshirt, just the way I like it, because I do not like overly fitted clothes. I wear a fleece underneath for warmth, so for autumn days it is perfect, and it also works for me in a light frost. There are a lot of pockets for odds and ends and various handy bits and pieces, and the underarm vents are also a nice feature. I thought about it for a long time, and also considered the MK Trooper II. But for autumn weather this one is much better; the Trooper will be better for active outdoor use. I recommend it.

    The softshell is of good quality, and the XXL size fit perfectly for a height of 182 cm and a weight of 102 kg. The underarm ventilation was covered with mesh. After tucking the hood into the collar, it becomes a bit too bulky and less comfortable, although it is still acceptable. Overall, I am satisfied. The shipment arrived in Ukraine very quickly, in 4 days.

    A decent jacket at an affordable price. Helikon Tex is a brand I generally value very much, although not every product offers a great quality-to-price ratio. I have had this particular jacket for several years and now decided to buy another in a different color. It worked great and I wore it almost every day. I only noticed a slight difference in size – my old jacket in size S was looser, and the new one, despite being the same size, is more fitted and tighter. I definitely recommend this product.

    This is already my second Helikon-Tex Gunfighter jacket and once again I am very satisfied. The previous one served me for a long time, so I knew what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised that the manufacturer improved several details compared to the previous version. Especially positive is the material under the zippered vents under the armpits – it is more practical and gives a better impression than before. Besides that, the jacket still does what I liked about the previous one: it protects well against wind, handles light rain, has a comfortable cut, and very practically arranged pockets. It works well both for everyday use and outdoors. Solid workmanship, comfort, and functionality – I definitely recommend it.

    So far, I've only used it for a short time, but the jacket is very functional and does its job excellently – it perfectly protects against wind, drizzle, and wet snow. The high collar protects the neck and the adjustable hood protects the head. The underarm vents help regulate comfort during intense activity. The only small downside for me is that the side pockets are placed high, and keeping my hands in them is not very comfortable. Also, I urgently needed it, and there weren't many colors and sizes left to choose from.

    The Helikon-Tex Gunfighter jacket in Shadow Grey is really a great choice and I am very satisfied with it. It is very nice and surprisingly warm – in my case, when temperatures are above 5 degrees Celsius, I wear it over just a t-shirt and it works perfectly in such a combination. The Shark Skin material with the Windblocker membrane provides excellent protection against the wind, so thermal comfort is maintained at a high level. What especially deserves praise is the super large number of pockets, which are arranged very intuitively and allow you to easily store all the necessary small items. The whole thing is solidly made and very practical, so I honestly recommend this model to anyone looking for a good softshell.

    Very nice and quite durable jacket. It is quite warm and blocks the wind well. Moreover, after being impregnated, it also works well in the rain. The hood rolled up in the collar feels like having a strong, thick scarf around your neck. And in slightly warmer moments, or during activity, the ventilation systems do their job very well.
