MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design created in 2002 by Crye Precision, an American manufacturer, together with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The purpose behind its development was to produce a universal camouflage effective across diverse terrains and varying environmental conditions. Comprising seven distinct colors, the MultiCam pattern features seamless gradients between green, brown, and beige tones. This configuration enables adaptive concealment, merging with greener tones in woodland environments or shifting to browns and beiges in arid, desert landscapes. In regions such as Central and Eastern Europe, MultiCam performs exceptionally well during autumn and in areas with dry vegetation. Having achieved international acclaim, MultiCam is widely adopted by multiple military and special operations units worldwide. In 2010, the US Army officially selected this pattern to outfit troops deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). In addition to military use, MultiCam is also accessible to civilians, making it a favored option among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
