I managed to fit into it: a balaclava, gloves, a multitool, 2 flashlights including one headlamp, a folding knife, a 17 cm wood saw, small containers with matches and fuel from a ration pack, a spare firesteel, a power bank, a plasma lighter, a rain poncho, a waterproof bag, 5 m of cord, and some zip ties. It's quite a long list, but you could still easily add a phone and it would fit too. Thanks to the MOLLE system, I attached a gas spray holster and a Mora Risberg. It is comfortable and spacious. Probably the only downside is the price, because if it hadn’t been for the winter sale, I wouldn’t have spent more than 300 PLN on it.
Bag perfect for extended treks in the field, designed for the comfortable transport of essential gear. Combines the benefits of both a backpack and a bag, featuring shoulder straps and a breathable mesh back panel for added comfort. The Numbat Bag enables carrying substantial loads and ensures fast access to your gear.
The main compartment houses multiple pockets, attachment points, and a detachable organizer, which also functions as a map case. Internal cords on each side of the compartment offer stabilization at various angles when opened.
Inside the main section, additional inserts (compatible with the Versatile Insert System) can be mounted. The exterior front panel offers two flexible, low-profile pockets.
A stretchy, adjustable cord at the bottom of the bag enables easy attachment of items like a rolled jacket or sweater. Side loops allow for securing carabiners. The bag is also equipped with sewn-on MOLLE/PALS webbing for attaching extra gear.
Shoulder straps with adjustable length can be quickly released via four Woojin buckles. Soft 3D Mesh panels, sewn into the back panel, help absorb shocks and reduce vibrations during movement.

Small chest pack I like this chest pack much more than its larger version. It is smaller, which makes it a bit more compact, and I think it fits better (at least on me). As for the workmanship, I have no complaints — Helikon is Helikon.
-
This is a really solidly made and well-designed piece of equipment, just like all of Helikon's gear. Besides field trips, it can also be used in other ways — just detach the harness and treat it as an EDC pouch carried in a backpack.

The chest bag is very durable and well-made. I appreciate that when opened, it can serve as a shelf-organizer, which makes it easy to use on the go. The only thing I don't like is the available colors. I chose the gray variant, but it doesn't match well with the rest of my gear, so I often use the waist bag together with a backpack. If OD or ranger green versions were available, I would definitely decide to purchase one.

I am very satisfied with the purchase of the Helikon bag, it is solid and durable, the attachments are great and the adjustment is just right so that it fits well during walking, very spacious, lots of pockets, I recommend it.

My Numbat weighs 466 g. I chose the "older" version because it's a little bigger. That "little" (28 cm) allows me to fit my thermal mug, which is 26 cm. Two more flasks, shot glasses, a thick hat, thin gloves, some bars, etc. also fit in. The cord stoppers are clearly too short. The inner one by about 5-6 cm. The stopper is there to block the opening range, but it would be useful to have the ability to open it up to 180 degrees. The outer lower one squeezes the bag a bit and doesn't allow you to fit anything thicker than, for example, a flashlight with a body diameter of 30 mm. The outer pockets fit gas or a small, flat flashlight. The quality of the bag's workmanship is very good. Maybe I’ll also buy the smaller version because it's much lighter, for example for summer. This one is for winter so I don't have to take off my backpack when I want to have some tea with a shot.

I bought it instead of a waist bag; it's perfect for hiking in the forest. Nothing dangles around your waist or slides off your backside, and it holds everything you need. Everything I need is within reach; you can even hang your gloves. It's a pity that the two front pockets don't fit a phone. I would make one larger pocket for a phone right in the front – that would be awesome. It's comfortable to wear, doesn't chafe, and you can adjust it easily.

I bought it with fishing trips by the river in mind and it works extremely well. It fits all the necessary things for such an outing: all boxes with lures and other essentials needed for this fishing method. Great purchase, I recommend it for spinning anglers.

A great alternative to all sachets. Especially for trips abroad, everything is in front of you and within view. Very solid workmanship, certified Cordura.
-
A very thoughtful and comfortable multi-pocket pouch. It works perfectly as an addition to your gear when taking a smaller backpack for a longer hike. It allows you to easily and quickly access the most useful items without taking off your backpack (if you have a camelback in your backpack, it's even better). All the pockets are properly placed, allowing you to organize items so they don’t overlap, which makes taking things out easier. Highly recommended!

Let me put it this way, it has some pros and cons. + Nice workmanship and quality of the material Color Map holder Elastic stopper band to block pocket opening - On the front panel, the external elastic pockets are extremely tight, I haven't found a use for them yet. The inner pockets, organizers - there are a lot of them, but when filled with gear, the pocket gets very stuffed. Very short shoulder straps, if you have a bigger build there is not enough adjustment, you definitely won't be able to put it on over a fleece or jacket. I have 3XL jackets - pocket filled, worn under jackets hmm... it becomes very tight. I tested it at 5 degrees during a march, after a few kilometers, sweat was running down to my belly button under the pocket ;). I don't know what will happen in summer at 35 degrees and with dynamic walking. I have mixed feelings about this kind of organizer. It's definitely worth thinking carefully before buying.
-
A nice option as an alternative to typical waist bags or fanny packs. It's more stable to wear on the chest. I highly recommend it to everyone, it's definitely worth buying.

The Helikon-Tex Chest Pack Numbat travel bag is highly recommended. It works perfectly with my backpack, doesn't interfere or press, is very spacious, and ideal for long hikes.
-
I use it on mountain trips with a small backpack. I keep things needed during the hike in this product, so they are always at hand. The bag is very well made and does not restrict movement. I recommend it.

A comfortable and spacious chest rig, I use it for things like cycling. It's more handy than a waist bag and my chest doesn't get very sweaty. Things are always "at hand". I recommend it.
