MultiCam Camouflage

MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage design introduced in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs), as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. Designed for adaptability, the pattern was engineered to provide effective concealment across a range of terrains and changing environments. Incorporating seven distinct colors, the MultiCam pattern smoothly transitions between multiple shades of green, brown, and beige. This complex color palette enables it to blend seamlessly with a variety of backgrounds, reflecting green tones in wooded areas or picking up brown and beige hues in arid or desert landscapes. In the regions of Central and Eastern Europe, MultiCam excels, especially during autumn or within dried grasses and foliage. Globally recognized, MultiCam is employed by many military and special operations units. In 2010, the US Army officially selected this camouflage for troops deployed to Afghanistan, replacing the former Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern’s availability to civilian markets has also made it highly popular among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.

Well made, durable, and the buckles can be easily replaced if necessary, which I did in my first one after it cracked in the мороз.     This is already my third waist pack from Helikon. I already have a black Bandicoot and a green Possum. This time I went for the Multicam camouflage. The quality is, of course, very good, and the camouflage pattern is also reproduced excellently. The advantage of the larger Bandicoot over the Possum is the detachable hook-and-loop panel, while the Possum is more comfortable to wear due to its smaller size. Overall, it’s hard not to keep buying them.
