The Helikon-Tex US LVL 2 Long Sleeve thermal shirt (Olive Green) is one of those purchases where you immediately know you made the right decision – the material is soft and pleasant to the touch, it keeps you warm yet doesn’t make you feel like you’re trapped in your own heat, as it wicks moisture really well and even with movement you don’t feel clammy. The fit is nice on the body and doesn’t restrict movement, so you can comfortably use it outdoors, at the shooting range, in the mountains, on a walk, or simply for everyday wear on cold days. A big plus for the high collar and zipper – you can unzip it low when it gets warmer or zip up to the chin when it's windy, and the thumb holes are fantastic because the sleeves don’t move up when putting on more layers and they also protect your wrists. The back is sensibly extended, so when squatting nothing rides up and your back/kidneys are protected. The flat seams do a great job as nothing chafes even after many hours, and the shirt itself is versatile enough to be used as a first layer on bare skin, as well as a second insulating layer under a jacket or fleece. And at this sale price it’s simply an honest bargain – you can feel the Helikon-Tex quality, the functionality is great, and this is exactly the kind of gear I like: you put it on, it works, and you don’t have to think about it.

Opinion after a year of use. This is a product that exceeded my expectations. I would rank it above my favorite Helikon product - the Alpha Grid (so it's not my favorite anymore). I am 185 cm tall, 90 kg in weight. Size M. It works phenomenally as a mid-layer over a cotton T-shirt, as well as an outer layer in spring or early autumn. Excellent thermal, functional, and visual qualities. Complements the outdoor look but is also suitable for intense city wear. On colder days, it can easily be worn with sweatpants for lounging around the house. Used intensively for a whole year. It does pill, that's a fact, which may bother purists, but 10 minutes with a fabric shaver and the problem's solved. Helikon lists this product as a bestseller on their website. I think, among their range, this could be an underrated item with the potential to become a topseller. If you're wondering whether to buy it or if it will serve its purpose – don't think, just buy. Of course, militaria.pl service is top notch, what more could you want.
