PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop material, 2-Way Elastic technology

Crafted from PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop (50% polyester, 48% cotton, 2% elastane) with a weight of 220 g/m2, the fabric utilizes 2-Way Elastic technology, offering exceptional stretch and impressive resistance to both abrasion and tearing. These properties guarantee a precise fit to the body and unrestricted movement. The fabric’s Rip-Stop reinforcement reliably stops any localized damage from expanding further.

10 practical pockets

Outfitted with ten functional pockets for enhanced versatility:

  • two traditional hip pockets featuring reinforced edges
  • four thigh pockets—two spacious ones secured with zippers, and two slimmer compartments fastened with Velcro
  • four rear pockets, consisting of two large outer pockets and two smaller pockets located inside them

A wide Velcro fastener with 6 cm of adjustment replaces the traditional button. At the waist, an elastic band is integrated to enhance the fit of the shorts to individual body shapes.

YKK zips, wide belt loops

All zippers are manufactured by the prestigious Japanese brand YKK. The belt loops are designed to accommodate belts up to 50 mm wide, with the two front loops featuring additional attachments for securing a carabiner or similar accessories.

    The shorts are quite ok, but the manufacturer decided to change the sizing... I wear Helikon UTP pants in size L and they fit perfectly, but these in size L are too small! I had to return them.

    At 180 cm tall, weighing 86 kg and with a 92 cm waist, size L is perfect. I bought them for a trip to Gran Canaria and they worked perfectly in hot weather, with good thermal comfort and super functional pockets. On top of that, they have a nice cut and are quite versatile for hiking off the beaten track, as well as fine for a trip into town, and the khaki color matches practically everything. I recommend them.

    At 188 cm tall and 100 kg, size XL fits me very comfortably. The pockets are very well placed, as are the belt loops. The material works well in summer and is comfortable. Only the phone pockets leave me with mixed feelings. I have a medium-sized smartphone, and I get the impression that a smaller model might not fit in them. On the other hand, if those pockets were bigger, my phone would move around in them too loosely. Another plus is the excellent performance of the zippers.

    Hi, I use versions 8.5 and 11. Personally, I prefer version 11. The pockets are roomier and deeper. They should pay a bit more attention to the finishing of the stitching. Loose threads are annoying. Especially since Helikon seems to be aiming for a higher-end segment.

My waist is 98 cm and I chose size XL – they're a bit wide in the waist, but I prefer the rest of the shorts to be wider than in size L. I like slightly looser styles. The pockets are roomy, but it would be helpful to make the ones with Velcro a bit bigger, so you could easily fit those big modern phones in them completely, not just barely.
