Helikon-Tex UTS 11" PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop Shorts - Shadow Grey

UTS (Urban Tactical Shorts) in Shadow Grey, made of high-quality PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop fabric with a grammage of 220 g/m2. The innovative fit, reinforced seams, and materials used ensure adequate freedom of movement. Thanks to the large number of pockets and their rational layout, the model is suitable for both urban conditions and outdoor activities.

PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop material, 2-Way Elastic technology

The material used for production, PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop (50% polyester, 48% cotton, 2% elastane) with a grammage of 220 g/m2 was made using 2-Way Elastic technology and is characterized by high elasticity and resistance to abrasion and tearing. It ensures a very good fit of the shorts to the silhouette and full freedom of movement. Reinforcement with Rip-Stop weave effectively prevents potential damage from spreading over a larger area.

10 practical pockets

The model is equipped with ten practical pockets:

  • two classic ones at the hip level with reinforced edges
  • four on the thighs (two wide ones with a zipper and two narrow ones with Velcro)
  • four at the back (two wide and two narrow ones inside the wide ones)

Instead of a button, a wide Velcro allowing a 6 cm adjustment was used. An elastic tape was sewn into the waist to improve the adjustment of the shorts to individual body features.

YKK zippers, wide belt loops

All zippers were produced by the renowned Japanese company YKK. The belt loops allow the use of belts with a width of up to 50 mm, and the two front ones are additionally equipped with loops for attaching a carabiner, for example.

    The shorts are quite ok, but the manufacturer decided to change the sizing... I wear Helikon UTP pants in size L and they fit perfectly, but these in size L are too small! I had to return them.

    Lightweight and comfortable. Size M for 181/80 is perfect with some room to spare. Very good workmanship quality. Lots of pockets, maybe I won't use the back ones, but the phone fits in the front pocket without any problem. Interesting model of shorts, I recommend it.

    At 188 cm tall and 100 kg, size XL fits me very comfortably. The pockets are very well placed, as are the belt loops. The material works well in summer and is comfortable. Only the phone pockets leave me with mixed feelings. I have a medium-sized smartphone, and I get the impression that a smaller model might not fit in them. On the other hand, if those pockets were bigger, my phone would move around in them too loosely. Another plus is the excellent performance of the zippers.

    Hi, I use versions 8.5 and 11. Personally, I prefer version 11. The pockets are roomier and deeper. They should pay a bit more attention to the finishing of the stitching. Loose threads are annoying. Especially since Helikon seems to be aiming for a higher-end segment.

    I bought these shorts for everyday use and trips outdoors. They fit very well, the material is comfortable and gives great freedom of movement. The large number of pockets is practical, and the Helikon-Tex workmanship, as always, is of a high standard. Even after wearing them for a long time, they still look good and are among my favorite shorts.

    As always, excellent quality! I already own several pairs of Helikon shorts, they're the only ones I wear on vacation! My waist is 98 cm and I chose size XL – they're a bit wide in the waist, but I prefer the rest of the shorts to be wider than in size L. I like slightly looser styles. The number of pockets is perfect, I use them all! :D

    The shorts are great, and the added elastic throughout the fabric makes them easier to use. The style hasn't changed. The pockets are roomy, but it would be helpful to make the ones with Velcro a bit bigger, so you could easily fit those big modern phones in them completely, not just barely. But rifle magazines fit without any problems 😀 I recommend this purchase, just like most products from this company 😀
