Although the backpack was purchased as an alternative for work and not for hiking, it is really nice. Equipment and food for a 24-hour shift fit easily. The hip belt is a bit low, but after all, it's a small backpack.
Trekking backpack offering a 30-liter capacity, crafted from lightweight yet robust 600D polyester with a PU coating for enhanced durability.
The main compartment features two spacious mesh pockets, dedicated space for a hydration bladder, and an organizer for smaller essentials such as keys, pens, or a notebook. Entry to this compartment is through a U-shaped zipper, enabling the backpack to open fully flat for easy packing and quick access to gear.
Additionally, two generous front zippered pockets and a pair of side pockets, suitable for water bottles, offer extra storage options. D-rings and MOLLE/PALS system straps on the front and sides provide versatile attachment points for additional gear.
The ergonomic carrying system incorporates padded, adjustable shoulder straps with a chest strap and a broad waist belt (equipped with extra pockets), ensuring optimal weight distribution over uneven terrain. Ergonomic Airmesh cushions at the back enhance airflow and comfort during extended use.
A velcro panel allows attachment of patches or emblems such as a national flag, unit insignia, or Morale Patches, giving the backpack a personalized touch.

The backpack was purchased relatively recently. For a 30-litre bag, it's very spacious (I had no trouble packing for a 3-day trip). The arrangement of the pockets and zippers is definitely a plus, especially the side zipper to the main compartment, which allows you to access the inside without having to open the entire pocket. The front pocket quickly became useful for things like glasses or gloves.

Nice and, in my opinion, the best-designed backpack at a good price, but for me it's too small because you can't adjust it for a height of 185 cm. I recommend taking the 40L model for a better fit, as the hip belt sits above the waist instead of on the hips, which looks strange to me. If it were possible to get rid of this mini hip strap by cutting it off, it would be a consideration, but as it is, it just dangles and annoys me. The zippers move smoothly and the back system is nicely designed.

Highlander Fhior FH-PAC 2 30 l Backpack - Dark Grey - The perfect backpack for a one-day hike in the mountains. It fits all the essentials, and the frame can be easily removed if you want to upgrade it. A very good purchase, I highly recommend it.

I am shocked that you can buy such a good and well-designed backpack at such a (relatively) low price. It's amazing because it offers all the features and extras of high-end backpacks, and even surpasses them. The biggest problem with almost all 'tactical' backpacks up to 40L is that they have a hip belt that is just a simple strap without any padding or cover. Here, fortunately, the belt is cushioned and finally comfortable to wear. Another great thing is that the zipper is very long, and the backpack can be opened almost completely like a bag, giving access to items at the very bottom. Comfortable and adjustable straps, an extra elastic pocket, e.g., for a jacket. The backpack has already worked perfectly in the Tatras. The only thing missing from perfection might be additional straps for attaching, for example, a sleeping mat. Besides that, at this price, it's a masterpiece. Personally, I also added an extra Wisport aluminum frame for better rigidity.

I bought the backpack at Militaria (color Dark Grey), with one-day mountain trips in mind. Until now, I had been using smaller backpacks (16-20 liters max), in which there was no room for my clothes (jacket, sweatshirt) that I wore early in the morning and needed to take off as the temperature went up during the day. In this case, the backpack performs its job excellently. The main compartment is spacious—so much so that when I went away for 5 days, I packed all the clothes I needed for changing. The main zipper works very lightly and smoothly, sometimes to the point where it feels almost too convenient. On the side of the backpack, there is an additional, smaller access to the main compartment, which lets you get to your things without opening up the whole backpack. On the downside, there are no removable buckles, so you can't make a "quick" drop of the backpack. The hip belt is comfortable, but the pockets integrated into it are very small. A phone won't fit, nor will a wallet—maybe some small keys, a firestarter, or a wireless earphones case at best. The hip belt is not detachable; however, if you don't want to use it, it's soft and naturally settles between your back and the backpack, which is actually a plus. An advantage is also the look of the backpack—it's sleek and reminiscent of a packed parachute—the design isn't "overdone." The back and shoulder straps are comfortable. For 229 PLN (04 2024), I generally recommend it.

The backpack is very lightweight, solid, and carefully made. It is very functional thanks to thoughtful pockets, external elastic pockets, a detachable organizer inside, the ability to completely unzip the backpack, and access to the main compartment through a side zipper. It is very comfortable to carry. Minor drawbacks, in my opinion, are the small hip belt pockets, which lack volume, and the zippers that slide too easily, causing the main compartment to open all the way on its own when the upper pockets are more loaded.

Seemingly unremarkable but a nice little backpack. For me, it’s like a budget ZipperFox, especially for the price of 220 PLN at Militaria ;) Comfortable, fits well after adjusting and fastening the hip belt. The back pads are very protruding, which helps with air circulation and increases comfort. The zippers move very smoothly. You can unzip the backpack along its entire length. In my opinion, there’s a sufficient number of compartments, extra pockets, and stash spots. Inside, there’s a nice organizing panel. The material and workmanship are good for the price. On the downside, I’d say it’s not as roomy as other backpacks labeled as 30L. That’s probably because it’s quite tall. There’s no rain cover or any compression/tie-down straps – but that could actually be a plus for 'backpack purists' who don’t like anything dangling or sticking out ;) I recommend watching a review of this backpack on the Czech YouTube channel Military Range. P.S. One small comment – the backpack is a little different from the one shown in the photos. The photos show a sewn Highlander logo, while the backpack actually has a Fhior logo – you can check this on the official Highlander Forces site. I suggest that Militaria update the photos ;) Best regards
