Robust mummy-shaped sleeping bag in Olive, delivering ergonomic support and unrestricted movement throughout the night. Constructed from premium 210T polyester with added strength from a Rip-Stop weave, it features a resilient exterior shell and QFX Spiral Hollowfibre insulation. The Flame 400 is engineered for autumn bivouacs and winter outings.
Temperature ratings and usage conditions
According to EN 13537 standards, the Phoenix Flame 400 sleeping bag is rated for the following temperature ranges:
- T-comfort: -3 C – the minimum temperature at which a woman can rest comfortably through the night,
- T-limit: -9 C – the lowest temperature at which a man can sleep without experiencing discomfort,
- T-extreme: -24 C – the survival temperature threshold; not advised for prolonged or routine use.
Rip-Stop polyester shell, Pongee lining
A rugged 210T Rip-Stop polyester outer shell ensures strong protection against abrasions and tearing. A soft 210T polyester Pongee lining provides enhanced sleeping comfort inside. The foot section utilizes 150D Oxford fabric with PU coating, making it possible to rest with boots on without risking damage to the bag. For use in extreme cold, the Flame can be attached to the Spark model via hook and loop fasteners. A dedicated mobile phone pocket is built into the interior for secure and easily accessible storage.
QFX Spiral Hollowfibre filling
Thermal insulation is provided by a double layer of QFX Spiral Hollowfibre filling with a total fabric weight of 2 x 200 g/m2. The synthetic fibers effectively retain heat and maintain their insulating properties even in a humid environment. Thanks to its high resilience, the filling compresses well, making packing easier. The model can be machine washed at 30 deg. C, which makes it easier to maintain hygiene.
Left-side zipper, anti-snag strip
A two-way zipper is positioned on the left side of the sleeping bag for versatile access. An internal anti-snag strip safeguards the fabric from catching in the zipper and assists in minimizing heat loss.
Integrated hood for cold protection
The anatomically contoured hood offers enhanced protection to minimize heat loss from the head. Featuring a drawcord, the hood can be tightened for superior thermal insulation during colder nights.
