I bought these trousers with trekking in mind and to pair them with a suitable model for the warmer months. I haven’t had the chance to test them in the field yet, but I know this membrane and I know it should easily withstand about 3 hours of rain, and possibly even more. I would rate the breathability as average — during intense exertion on warm days, slight condensation may appear, although it is not very noticeable. In cooler conditions they perform well, and the level of breathability is sufficient, although far from ideal. The trousers are solidly made and rustle slightly, which I expected. A big advantage is the ability to fully unzip the zippers, so the legs and waist open completely — you can put them on without much movement, practically using only the zippers. This is a really very practical solution. The only downside is the sizing. I am 177 cm tall, weigh 75 kg, have an 86 cm waist, and chose size M. On me they are definitely too large and too wide; even when tried on over jeans they are still roomy. The size chart indicated that M would be suitable, but in reality that is not the case. For a build similar to mine, S will be the better choice. I suspect that even this size may still be a little too wide, but it should already be suitable for comfortable use. It is also worth paying attention to the leg length, because there is no possibility of adjusting or shortening them due to the zipper and the taped, waterproof seam. In size M, the length from the waist to the end of the leg is 108 cm. Despite this, I consider the product worth recommending.
