The emergency radio in Red is a compact survival device powered by a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery, a hand crank, or a solar panel. It enables FM/AM/WB station reception and serves as a power bank and LED flashlight with SOS mode. It performs well during power outages (blackouts), evacuations, camping trips, and sudden emergency situations.
The housing is made of durable plastic with increased mechanical resistance, meeting the IPX5 standard. It provides protection against water jets from any direction, so the device remains fully functional even during rain or splashes. The side surfaces are covered with an anti-slip texture that improves grip security. A clear LCD display is placed on the front, making operation easier and allowing control of the work modes. The compact design with profiled edges, as well as the integrated handle and hook, make carrying easier and allow the radio to be hung in a tent, vehicle, or on a backpack.
The model is equipped with a telescopic antenna that ensures stable wave reception in the FM (87-108 MHz), AM (520-1710 kHz), and WB (162,400-162,550 MHz) bands with seven weather channels. The Auto Alert WB function automatically notifies about weather warnings broadcast in the NOAA Weather Alert system - the alarm signal activates even when the radio is completely muted. Clear and distinct playback of messages is ensured by a 5 W speaker with precise 27-level volume adjustment (levels 0–27).
The device is equipped with an efficient LED flashlight with lighting modes: long-range and diffused, allowing convenient illumination of the الطريق or campsite. In emergency situations, the radio allows you to activate an SOS alarm with a red flashing light, creating a warning and rescue signal clearly visible from a long distance.
A lithium-polymer rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh (3,7 V) ensures long operating time and can act as a power source for other mobile devices. The built-in solar panel (5,5 V / 45 mA) allows the battery to be recharged with solar energy in the field. Additionally, the device is equipped with a manual hand-crank generator (5 V / 450 mA). One minute of steady cranking (at a speed of approx. 120 rpm in one direction) provides about 8 minutes of radio operation or 25-30 minutes of flashlight operation. To maintain optimal cell lifespan, it is recommended to recharge the device every 3 months.
The JB Tacticals JB-07 model is equipped with a practical set of ports that enables versatile use of the device. It includes a USB-A output port (5 V / 1.5 A) for charging phones (power bank function), a USB-C input port (5 V / 1.5 A) for charging the radio, and a 3,5 mm audio jack socket for connecting headphones, which automatically mutes the main speaker when the plug is inserted. Additionally, the radio is equipped with a Bluetooth Audio module that allows music or messages to be played wirelessly directly from a smartphone.
