The only downside is the very high price, but overall, it’s a wonderful, solid knife that’s great for batoning and general bushcraft tasks. A piece of history in your hand!
Ka-Bar Becker Kephart BK62 Fixed Blade Knife
Knife with an overall length of 244.5 mm and a blade length of 130 mm with a Drop-Point profile made from 1095 Cro-Van tool steel. The blade is presented with a full flat grind. The blade is finished using a satin method, giving it a semi-matte effect. The handle scales are made of walnut wood. The set includes a sheath made of natural leather.
The model is inspired by the design of Horace Kephart, recognized as one of the important figures in the history of bushcraft. The KA-BAR version was developed in collaboration with Ethan Becker.
1095 Cro-Van tool steel
1095 Cro-Van tool steel stands out for its high resistance to chipping, making it well-suited for knives intended for heavier outdoor tasks. The addition of chromium and vanadium improves hardenability, cutting edge stability, and wear resistance compared to classic 1095 steel. This material is easy to resharpen and, with regular maintenance, provides very good edge durability.
Drop-Point blade profile, full flat grind
Blade with a length of 130 mm and thickness of 4 mm in a Drop-Point profile, designed for precise tasks. This profile is especially effective in outdoor and EDC applications, where a combination of high penetration ability and optimal blade control is required.
The model features a full flat grind, providing increased resistance to damage while maintaining good cutting properties. The blade's surface is finished with a satin method, giving it a matte effect.
Walnut wood handle scales
Ergonomically shaped handle scales are made from walnut wood, valued for its good dimensional stability and resistance to external factors. The wood is aged to highlight the knife's historical design. The handle is fastened with three screws.
Natural leather sheath
The set includes a sheath made from natural leather in brown, allowing for the safe carrying of the knife on a belt with a maximum size of 60 mm.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Ka-Bar.
Ka-Bar is a brand whose history dates back to the late 19th century, and which gained real fame during World War II, when the Fighting Utility model was officially adopted by the US Marine Corps. The durable and versatile knife quickly became legendary, proving itself both in combat and in the daily tasks of soldiers. The name Ka-Bar itself comes from the 1920s, when a trapper described in a letter how he managed to “kill a bear” with a Union Cutlery knife. In 1952, wanting to emphasize the power of this symbol, the company officially changed its name to Ka-Bar Knives Inc., and its products are still considered a model of reliability today. An important chapter in the brand's history is also its collaboration with Ethan Becker, which resulted in the Becker series, highly valued by users, combining practical solutions with a modern approach to knife design.

The best knife I've ever had. Simple in construction, without gimmicks but brilliant in its simplicity. It opens cans, chops wood, makes sparks, and slices tomatoes...

Great little knife :) Bought together with the book 'The Book of Traditional Camping. Volume I - Camp' - Horace Sowers Kephart, you can really get into the mood. I'm becoming a fan of Ethan Beck's line from Ka-Bar :)

Great knife. A return to knife roots. The true kind—for the forest, for the kitchen. I recommend it!

It's a shame. Militaria applies a 500-character limit. My description was almost 6,000 :( Much more expensive than similar competing knives. But also much sturdier. The aesthetics also surpass the competition. I know because I have them. The sheath is also from the USA, which is no longer standard in knives from the USA. It holds the knife perfectly, and even if it stretches, it will still do its job. The handle is screwed together. They thought about female users, too. You can check if there’s any rust under the handle scales. Or you can change them when they wear out or if you want different ones.
