A dependable knife designed for versatile everyday use, standing out with an attractive yet exceptionally practical design created by renowned American blade maker Rick Hinderer. This version features a handle finished with a titanium nitride coating.

Built around a robust stainless steel 410 framework, the knife integrates the handle and an internal steel plate that acts both as a shield for the assisted opening mechanism and as reinforcement for the blade pivot.

Featuring a drop point style, the blade is manufactured from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and protected with a titanium nitride coating that provides anti-corrosive and anti-reflective qualities. The blade utilizes a hollow grind, with thumb jimping along the spine for enhanced control.

Deployment is smooth and rapid with the use of a flipper and thumb stud, assisted by the SpeedSafe spring mechanism, giving the Cryo model an action akin to an automatic knife. A reliable frame lock secures the blade when open.

Transport and accessibility are optimized by a reversible clip (with four positioning options), allowing for secure attachment to a pocket edge or belt. A lanyard hole is conveniently located at the end of the handle.

Kershaw is an American knife brand, founded in 1974 by Pete Kershaw in Oregon, which from the very beginning has focused on the highest quality and practical solutions for hunters, anglers, and everyday users. In 1977, the company was acquired by the Japanese Kai Group, allowing it to combine American innovation with Japanese craftsmanship. In 1998, Kershaw revolutionized the market by introducing the SpeedSafe assisted opening mechanism, and in the following years won prestigious Blade Show awards for models such as the Tyrade with Composite Blade technology combining two different types of steel. The brand is also known for its collaboration with renowned knifemakers, including Ken Onion, Ernest Emerson, and Rick Hinderer, which has resulted in iconic models such as the Leek and Cryo.

A good and nice knife. But the coating comes off over time. The mechanics and sharpness are always great as with Kershaw.

A good choice for its size category. The unnecessary stud and budget steel are downsides, but I bought it on impulse, liked it at first sight :)

A good, handy knife, although not for everyone. Despite its small width, it is quite heavy. Factory-sharpened, it performs well, but its coating wears off quickly on the blade, though it doesn’t chip. Overall, for this price, it’s a very nice knife, pleasant to use, and it sits well in the hand even though the knife is narrow.

As an additional blade, it does the job.

Nice knife, heavy, but very small – next to the Rat it looks like a baby. Another thing: sometimes you get a piece where, when folded, the tip is not perfectly symmetrical – unfortunately, I had such 'luck' – but it's a budget option so I'm not mad ;) On the positive side, the finish – especially the stonewash – is great, and unlike the Rat, it doesn't wear off just by looking at it. Overall, a great shape, but when buying, you need to be aware that this blade is rather for precise tasks.

Great knife. It doesn’t draw attention or look threatening. The phosphor bronze washer mechanism works perfectly. Another great Hinderer design. And at an affordable price. I recommend it.
