An excellent knife. Everything about it is top-notch... from the build quality to the opening mechanism. Be careful, the knife is very sharp right out of the box. Its size is ideal for a man's hand. It can also be carried in the pocket without being noticed. You need to get used to the opening itself, as the mechanism is very strong and fast.
The Kershaw Launch 7 is equipped with an automatic opening system, allowing the blade to deploy in under a second. Built into the handle, a button enables safe blade deployment.
Secured by a button lock mechanism, the blade remains firmly in position when open. A spring-loaded pin anchors the blade securely.
When opened, the blade is held steadily in place.
Featuring a clip-point profile, the blade is crafted from CPM 154 powder steel, known for its high hardness as well as excellent wear and corrosion resistance. Finished with a DLC coating, the blade gains enhanced protection against rust and remains non-reflective.
The handle, constructed from anodized aluminum, offers a comfortable and secure grip. A reversible clip enables convenient carry and accessibility for both right- and left-handed users.

Kershaw is an American knife brand, founded in 1974 by Pete Kershaw in Oregon, which from the very beginning has focused on the highest quality and practical solutions for hunters, anglers, and everyday users. In 1977, the company was acquired by the Japanese Kai Group, allowing it to combine American innovation with Japanese craftsmanship. In 1998, Kershaw revolutionized the market by introducing the SpeedSafe assisted opening mechanism, and in the following years won prestigious Blade Show awards for models such as the Tyrade with Composite Blade technology combining two different types of steel. The brand is also known for its collaboration with renowned knifemakers, including Ken Onion, Ernest Emerson, and Rick Hinderer, which has resulted in iconic models such as the Leek and Cryo.

Great knife, my first automatic, nice long blade and good quality steel. The knife’s profile is quite slim, so it sits well in the pocket. I recommend it, I haven't been disappointed by Kershaw so far. Oh, and MADE IN USA :)
