A flint featuring an 8 mm diameter ferrocerium rod produces a substantial shower of sparks at 3,000 degrees Celsius. Constructed from Kareline material, the handle incorporates a blend of soft wood fibers and food-grade polyolefins. Manufacturing this plastic is entirely carbon neutral. Carefully contoured shaping guarantees a secure grip, even when wearing gloves. Measuring 124 mm in length, the compact size easily slips into a pants pocket or backpack.

A tough cord crafted from reindeer skin links the spark igniter to the rod, making it convenient to attach to a belt or other gear.
