CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool) is an American brand of knives and tools, founded in 1994 by Paul Gillespie and Rod Bremer, former employees of Kershaw Knives. It gained worldwide publicity with the K.I.S.S. model, presented at the SHOT Show in 1997 - it sold out immediately and tripled the company's production capacity. CRKT built a reputation as a brand focused on innovation, as proven by its proprietary Deadbolt, Field Strip, and Kinematic systems, as well as the patented Veff-Serrations.
