Levenhuk Trap LTE10 Trail Camera

Trail camera designed for automatic monitoring of forest areas, properties, farms, plots and habitats of wild animals. The device records photos and videos when motion is detected, and thanks to 4G connectivity it can send the saved materials to the cloud and send notifications to a smartphone.

The model is ideal for wildlife observation, land inventory or monitoring remote sites. The camouflage case helps reduce the visibility of the device and makes it easier to place discreetly in the surroundings.

case, mounting, ip66 standard

The durable camouflage case helps conceal the device among vegetation, branches and the forest floor. The design is equipped with mounting points and a nylon strap allowing the camera to be attached to a tree, pole or another stable element.

The standard 1/4" thread also allows the device to be mounted on a compatible tripod or holder. On the front panel there are the lens, PIR sensor and IR illumination elements. Hinges and the closure placed on the sides make it easier to access the inside of the case and the controls.

The case meets the requirements of protection class IP66. This means complete protection against dust and resistance to powerful water jets. The trail camera can operate in temperatures from -20 to +60 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for use in different seasons.

recording photos and videos

The camera takes photos and records videos automatically when motion is detected by the PIR sensor. The user can select photo resolution up to 60 MP and video resolution up to 1296p, that is Super Full HD. Lower resolutions are also available, allowing file sizes to be reduced and increasing the number of materials that can be saved on the memory card.

The trail camera supports photo files in JPG format and recordings in MP4 format. Each file can be marked with a stamp containing the date, time, temperature and moon phase. This information makes later analysis of the materials easier and helps determine the conditions in which the recording was made.

The model offers different recording modes:

  • in burst photo mode, it is possible to take 1, 2 or 3 photos after a single motion detection.
  • a video mode and a combined mode are also available, in which the camera takes a photo and records a video. The length of a single video can be set from 5 to 20 seconds.
  • the time-lapse recording function makes it possible to take photos or videos at specified intervals - from 1 second to 24 hours. This mode does not require motion to be detected by the PIR sensor each time, so it is suitable for documenting slow and long-term processes.

day and night image, wide field of view, fast response

During the day, the camera records a colour image. After dark, it automatically switches to black and white mode and activates infrared illumination with a wavelength of 850 nm. The range of the IR illuminator is up to 20 meters, allowing the device to record objects at a considerable distance even in complete darkness.

The minimum focusing distance is 1 meter in daytime mode, while the operating range reaches 20 meters in the standard sensitivity mode and at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The 4 mm focal length lens provides a wide viewing angle of 120 degrees. This makes it possible to monitor a large area and increases the chance of recording an object moving in front of the camera.

The trigger time is from 0.2 to 0.5 seconds. After motion is detected, the device quickly starts recording, which is important when observing animals, people or vehicles moving through the monitored area.

PIR motion sensor

The trail camera uses a PIR sensor that responds to motion and temperature changes within the field of view. Sensitivity can be adjusted to the operating conditions by selecting one of 3 levels:

  • high
  • normal
  • low

The adjustment makes it possible to reduce the number of accidental activations or increase sensitivity when observing small and fast-moving objects. The interval between successive triggers can be set from 5 seconds to 60 minutes.

4G transmission and remote access

Built-in 4G network support enables remote access to the camera and transmission of multimedia files. After inserting a SIM card and configuring the device in the TrailCam Go app, the user can receive photos and videos, manage settings and use live view.

Materials can be stored in the cloud, saved directly on a smartphone or shared via email and messaging apps. Remote operation is especially useful when the camera has been installed in a hard-to-reach place or on a remote property.

The included SIM card requires activation in the TrailCam Go app and selection of a subscription plan. A SIM card from a local operator can also be used. The camera can then operate without a subscription, and photos and videos will be saved on a microSD card.

sound recording, memory, loop recording

The built-in microphone records ambient sounds while videos are being recorded. This provides a more complete record of the observed situation and makes event identification easier. The video material can contain both image and sound, so it documents the activity of people, animals or vehicles in the monitored area more effectively.

The device supports microSD memory cards with a capacity of from 4 to 128 GB (not included). The available loop recording function allows continuous camera operation after the storage medium is full. The oldest files are then automatically replaced with new ones.

screen and operation

The camera is equipped with a colour LCD display with a diagonal of 2 inches. It allows saved materials to be viewed, settings to be changed and the device operation to be checked without the need to connect it to an external monitor.

The menu is available in 11 languages. It is also possible to set a 4-digit password to protect against unauthorised access to settings and saved materials. A USB type C port is used to connect the device to a computer. A suitable cable is included in the set.

battery or mains power supply

Levenhuk Trap LTE10 is powered by 8 AA batteries. This solution is suitable for field use, away from the power grid. The device can also be powered by an external 6 V / 1 A DC power supply. This option is useful for long-term monitoring carried out near a power source.
