Levenhuk Trap LTE30 Trail Camera

Trail camera equipped with a solar panel, designed for automatic monitoring of forest areas, properties, farms, plots, and habitats of wild animals. The device records photos and videos after detecting motion, and thanks to 4G connectivity it can upload saved materials to the cloud and send notifications to a smartphone.

Video recording in 5K quality provides a detailed image of the monitored area. The model is suitable for nature observation, land surveying, or monitoring remote sites. The camouflage case helps reduce the visibility of the device and makes it easier to place discreetly in the surroundings.

case, mounting, ip66 rating

The durable camouflage case helps conceal the device among vegetation, branches, and the forest floor. The design is equipped with mounting points and a nylon strap that allows the camera to be attached to a tree, pole, or another stable element.

The standard 1/4" thread also allows the device to be mounted on a compatible tripod or bracket. The front panel features the lens, PIR sensor, and IR illumination elements. Hinges and the closure placed on the sides make it easier to access the inside of the case and the controls.

The case meets the requirements of the IP66 protection rating. This means complete protection against dust and resistance to powerful water jets. The trail camera can operate in temperatures from -20 to +60 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for use throughout different seasons.

photo and video recording

The camera takes photos and records videos automatically after motion is detected by the PIR sensor. The user can select photo resolution up to 60 MP and video resolution up to 5K. Lower resolutions are also available, helping reduce file size and increase the number of materials that can be saved on the memory card.

The trail camera supports photo files in JPG format and recordings in MP4 format. Each file can be marked with a stamp containing the date, time, temperature, and moon phase. This information makes later analysis of the materials easier and helps determine the conditions in which the recording was made.

The model offers different recording modes:

  • in burst photo mode it is possible to take 1, 2, or 3 photos after a single motion detection.
  • a video mode and a combined mode are also available, in which the camera takes a photo and records a video. The length of a single video can be set from 5 to 20 seconds.
  • the time-lapse recording function allows photos or videos to be taken at specified intervals - from 1 second to 24 hours. This mode does not require motion to be detected by the PIR sensor each time, making it suitable for documenting slow and long-term processes.

day and night image, wide field of view, fast response

During the day, the camera records a colour image. After dark, it automatically switches to black and white mode and activates infrared illumination with a wavelength of 850 nm. The range of the IR illuminator is up to 20 meters, allowing the device to record objects at a considerable distance even in complete darkness.

The minimum focusing distance is 1 meter in daytime mode, while at night the focus setting range covers a distance from 1.5 to 20 meters. The lens with a focal length of 4 mm provides a wide viewing angle of 120 degrees. This makes it possible to cover a large section of terrain and increases the chance of recording an object moving in front of the camera.

The trigger time is from 0.2 to 0.5 seconds. After detecting motion, the device quickly begins recording, which is important when observing animals, people, or vehicles moving through the monitored area.

PIR motion sensor

The trail camera uses a PIR sensor that reacts to motion and temperature changes within the field of view. Sensitivity can be adjusted to the operating conditions by selecting one of 3 levels:

  • high
  • normal
  • low

The adjustment makes it possible to reduce the number of accidental activations or increase sensitivity when observing small and fast-moving objects. The interval between successive triggers can be set from 5 seconds to 60 minutes.

4G transmission and remote access

Built-in 4G network support enables remote access to the camera and transfer of multimedia materials. After inserting a SIM card and configuring the device in the TrailCam Go app, the user can receive photos and videos, manage settings, and use live view.

Materials can be stored in the cloud, saved directly to a smartphone, or shared via email and messengers. Remote operation is especially useful when the camera has been mounted in a hard-to-reach place or on a remote property.

The included SIM card requires activation in the TrailCam Go app and selection of a subscription plan. A SIM card from a local operator can also be used. The camera can then operate without a subscription, and photos and videos will be saved to the microSD card.

sound recording, memory, loop recording

The built-in microphone records ambient sounds while videos are being recorded. This provides a more complete record of the observed situation and makes event identification easier. The video material may include both image and sound, so it documents the activity of people, animals, or vehicles in the monitored area more effectively.

The device supports microSD memory cards with a capacity from 4 to 128 GB (not included). The available loop recording function enables continuous camera operation once the storage medium is full. The oldest files are then automatically replaced with new ones.

screen and operation

The camera is equipped with a colour LCD display with a diagonal of 2 inches. It allows saved materials to be viewed, settings to be changed, and device operation to be monitored without the need to connect it to an external monitor.

The menu is available in 11 languages. It is also possible to set a 4-digit password to protect against unauthorised access to settings and saved materials. A USB type C port is used to connect the device to a computer. A suitable cable is included in the set.

battery or mains power supply, solar panel

Levenhuk Trap LTE30 is powered by 2 built-in 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries with a voltage of 3.7 V and a total capacity of 5200 mA h, charged using a solar panel.

To extend runtime, the device can also be powered by 8 AA batteries. The camera can also be connected to an external power source using a 6 V/1 A DC cable.
