LKW City Bowie G10 Knife by Radosław Łęgowik - Black

Large camp knife crafted with a Full Tang build and a robust black G10 laminate handle. Distinguished by a broad blade fabricated from O2 Bohler K720 tool steel, this knife excels in all bushcraft operations and outdoor culinary tasks alike. Designed and handcrafted by Polish knifemaker Radosław Łęgowik, the model stands out for both durability and reliable performance in demanding conditions.

Polish project

Radosław Łęgowik, a skilled Polish knifemaker and founder of LKW - Libra Knife Works, has been handcrafting knives from his own blueprints since 2007. Every knife is meticulously produced in his workshop, where he maintains comprehensive oversight of every stage, including hardening and heat treatment. His collection features both modern-styled tactical knives and highly functional survival blades.

O2 Bohler K720 tool steel

Forged from high-carbon O2 Bohler K720 tool steel and hardened to 59 HRC, the knife delivers exceptional strength, crack resistance, and outstanding edge retention. The precise heat treatment process enhances the material's durability, while easy field sharpening makes it especially reliable for outdoor and bushcraft activities.

Bowie profile, wide blade, flat grind

Featuring a blade with a length of 120 mm and a thickness of 4.5 mm, this knife utilizes a Bowie design with a prominently contoured belly to enhance cutting performance. Crafted with a flat grind, the blade benefits from reduced overall weight, while its distinctive shape delivers excellent ergonomics during operation. The edge is precisely ground and relatively thin, contributing to exceptional cutting ability—ideal for general tasks as well as camp kitchen use. A false edge along the upper section of the blade increases its piercing power and forms a sharply pointed tip, perfect for detail-oriented work requiring high precision.

A guard-shaped lower section on the grip acts as a barrier, effectively preventing the hand from slipping onto the blade itself. The blade's surface has undergone the Stonewash treatment, providing a subdued, matte finish that minimizes the appearance of scratches acquired through regular use.

G10 laminate handle, lanyard hole

Featuring a handle crafted from highly durable G10 laminate, renowned for its exceptional water resistance and superior mechanical strength. The non-slip texture combined with practical finger grooves guarantees a solid and reliable grip under all conditions. A lanyard hole is integrated into the rear of the handle, allowing for secure attachment with a cord.

stiff Kydex sheath, belt loop

Set features a rigid sheath crafted from lightweight, damage-resistant Kydex material. Sheath sides incorporate holes and rivets, enabling multi-position mounting to gear. Rear of sheath is outfitted with a belt loop.

O2 feature
O2
O2 is a medium carbon tool steel (approximately 0.9%) characterized by good hardness, abrasion resistance, and strength. Its carbon content ensures high hardness in the range of 58-60 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, which allows for a durable cutting edge. This steel also contains small amounts of manganese (0.3%) and silicon (0.2%), which improves its hardenability and structural stability. O2 is relatively easy to machine, making it a popular choice for the manufacture of cutting tools, industrial knives, files, and cutting tools. It is susceptible to corrosion and therefore requires proper maintenance and protection against rust. Due to its abrasive properties and hardness, O2 steel is mainly used in work tools that require wear resistance.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
