LKW City Bowie Micarta Knife by Radosław Łęgowik - Brown

A robust camping knife built with a Full Tang design, equipped with a brown Micarta handle. Outfitted with a broad blade forged from Bohler K720 O2 tool steel, perfectly suited for a variety of bushcraft activities and outdoor culinary use. Crafted and designed by Polish knifemaker Radosław Łęgowik.

Polish design

Radosław Łęgowik, a skilled Polish knifemaker and the founder of the LKW - Libra Knife Works brand, has been crafting hand-made knives since 2007, working exclusively from his own original designs. Each knife is meticulously produced in his workshop, where he personally oversees every stage, including quenching and heat treatment. His selection features modern tactical knives as well as robust survival knives, all designed for maximum functionality.

O2 Bohler K720 tool steel

Crafted from high-carbon O2 Böhler K720 tool steel and hardened to 59 HRC, the blade delivers outstanding performance. The careful selection of steel, combined with expert heat treatment, ensures exceptional durability, crack resistance, and superior edge retention. Furthermore, sharpening is straightforward even in field conditions, making it an excellent choice for bushcraft and outdoor applications.

Bowie profile, wide blade, full flat grind

Featuring a 120 mm long and 4.5 mm thick blade, the knife boasts a classic Bowie profile with a prominently pronounced belly, enhancing the cutting performance of the tool. The blade incorporates a flat grind, contributing to a lighter overall weight, while the design delivers optimal ergonomics for effective handling. A precise and notably thin cutting edge defines its craftsmanship. The blade's unique geometry provides outstanding slicing capabilities, making it well-suited not only for general outdoor use but also for camp kitchen duties. An additional false edge along the top of the blade increases penetration power and forms a fine, sharp tip suited for tasks that demand exceptional accuracy.

The lower section of the handle incorporates a cross guard, effectively preventing the hand from slipping forward onto the blade.

Handle made of Micarta, lanyard hole

Designed for optimal ergonomics, the handle is crafted from Micarta—a highly durable, water-resistant material based on epoxy resin—offering a reliable and secure hold in any situation. A lanyard hole is integrated at the end of the handle.

Rigid Kydex sheath, belt loop

Constructed from lightweight and impact-resistant Kydex, the set comes with a robust sheath. Multiple openings and slots on both sides of the sheath enable versatile mounting options on your gear. A dedicated loop on the rear side allows for secure belt attachment.

O2 feature
O2
O2 is a medium carbon tool steel (approximately 0.9%) characterized by good hardness, abrasion resistance, and strength. Its carbon content ensures high hardness in the range of 58-60 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, which allows for a durable cutting edge. This steel also contains small amounts of manganese (0.3%) and silicon (0.2%), which improves its hardenability and structural stability. O2 is relatively easy to machine, making it a popular choice for the manufacture of cutting tools, industrial knives, files, and cutting tools. It is susceptible to corrosion and therefore requires proper maintenance and protection against rust. Due to its abrasive properties and hardness, O2 steel is mainly used in work tools that require wear resistance.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
Micarta feature
Micarta
Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.
