I bought the version without goretex mainly because I intended to use them in spring, summer, and autumn. I've been wearing them for half a year and ... they are real workhorses ;-) compared to the “delicate” Zephyrs. Firm yet flexible vibram sole - you don't feel pebbles, sticks, glass, etc. - just like in mountain trekking shoes. The shoes are very comfortable and quite wide on the foot. They give the impression of being armored. They dry quickly after getting wet, which is a big advantage. Good ventilation, I wore them in hot weather. The laces are solid, don’t come undone, and the locking system above the ankle has its pros but also cons, e.g., you can't take the shoes off quickly, best to put them on for the whole day ;-). Reinforced toe, a bit like in safety footwear ;-) protects the toes very well. You can buy replacement insoles for a dozen or so zlotys, e.g., from Meindl.

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
Vibram Vanguard is a type of rubber outsole equipped with a special tread design, resistant to abrasion. It features anti-slip properties, thermal protection against contact with both hot and cold ground and petroleum substances. It provides support for the foot, relieving pressure on the forefoot and heel with a dual-density cushioning midsole.
Poron is an ultra-thin microporous polyurethane foam with very good cushioning and energy absorbing properties. Due to its characteristics and flexible structure, it works well as a filling in footwear to wrap around the ankle and protect it from injury and strain, absorbing any impact, shock and vibration.

Very well-made shoe, holds the foot excellently, the sole has good grip properties. For me, the advantage is the lack of a membrane, which is what I wanted when choosing this particular shoe model. I highly recommend it.

The shoes are just great for me, there's no need to break them in beforehand, they're simply comfortable. The sizing runs large - I have a 29 cm foot and bought size 46, but I should have bought 45. I kept this size because there's a steel toe like in work shoes, so I add an extra insole and thick sock, I just need it to be soft because I have a broken toe and the bone sticks out, that's all. Highly recommend.
