MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage pattern introduced in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in partnership with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as an element of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. Designed to deliver optimal concealment across diverse terrains and fluctuating environments, MultiCam employs a palette of seven distinct colors, blending seamless gradations across greens, browns, and beiges. Such a composition enables adaptive coloration, mirroring foliage greens in forested settings or shifting to browns and beiges within arid or semi-arid landscapes. In Central and Eastern European regions, MultiCam excels particularly during autumn or amidst dry vegetation. The pattern has achieved international acclaim, serving military forces and elite units globally. In 2010, the United States Army officially selected this camouflage for Afghanistan operations, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian availability of the pattern has also made MultiCam highly sought after among military and airsoft hobbyists.
