Insulated pants crafted from abrasion-resistant nylon and treated with a Water Repellent finish. Outfitted with a windproof lining, these pants feature synthetic PrimaLoft insulation with a grammage of 100 g/m2, along with high-quality zippers from the renowned YKK brand. Designed as the 7th layer in the ECWCS system, they serve as an outer protective layer, intended to be worn over thermal wear or additional pants.
Impregnated nylon and windproof lining
The upper and lining are crafted from robust, tear-resistant nylon that offers reliable protection against wind and moisture. With a fabric that is simple to clean and maintain, these pants deliver practicality in any environment. The exterior has undergone water-repellent treatment (utilizing DWR – Durable Water Repellency) to further enhance resistance to moisture.
High-wear zones, such as the knees and the inner lower legs, have been reinforced with a denser nylon weave, ensuring superior abrasion resistance.

The interior of the pants features PrimaLoft synthetic insulation with a grammage of 100 g/m2, ensuring optimal thermal comfort. Full-length zippers run along both legs, making it easy to put on and remove the pants, while also granting access to the pockets of layers underneath. The pants are fastened with a zipper that is protected by a Velcro-fastened flap, which safeguards against jamming caused by dust or packed snow.
An integrated Velcro strap enables precise adjustment of the waistband to fit the wearer. At the leg cuffs, Velcro-adjustable straps allow customization of leg width. The design features loops for attaching a belt and tabs for securing harnesses.
