I'm just starting out with a compass and map, so I chose a cheap model simply to learn on. My first impressions are very positive. The most important thing is that the compass correctly shows directions and the dial works smoothly with noticeable resistance. The compass is equipped with a ruler, magnifying glass, and apparently glows in the dark, so I think it's completely sufficient for starters.

I bought the M-Tac Map Compass and I am very satisfied with it — it's a great tool for every trip and outdoor adventure, which is definitely worth having in your backpack or survival kit.

The price-to-quality ratio is definitely positive. For beginners, it is sufficient, although the cheaper ones have a less precise needle and you have to be careful about metals around and whether the compass is held flat on the hand. Any tilting can affect the measurement.

For this price (19 PLN) you won't find a better compass that indicates north and other directions so precisely. Very intuitive to use, works great for checking azimuths. I recommend it.

Not only good but also cheap — the compass points directions like the others, and its compact size makes it easy to stash in any pocket.
