MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern introduced in 2002 by the American manufacturer Crye Precision in partnership with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Designed to provide a versatile concealment solution, MultiCam effectively blends into a variety of landscapes and responds to changing environmental conditions. The unique pattern uses seven distinct colors, smoothly transitioning between green, brown, and beige hues to achieve gradient camouflage effects. As a result, MultiCam adapts to its surroundings, displaying green tints in wooded environments and earthy browns or beiges in arid, desert-like settings—a feature that makes it especially effective across Central and Eastern Europe during the autumn season and in areas of dry vegetation. Highly regarded worldwide, MultiCam has been adopted by numerous military forces and special operations units. In 2010, it became the official camouflage pattern for the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, replacing the outdated Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP).
