Camouflage MultiCam

MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern engineered in 2002 by Crye Precision, a US-based company, in partnership with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior initiative. Designed to deliver optimal concealment across diverse landscapes and fluctuating environments, the MultiCam scheme incorporates seven distinct hues, blending gradients of green, brown, and beige. Such coloration enables seamless adaptation to surroundings, with the pattern reflecting green tones in wooded terrain and adopting earthy browns and beiges in arid or desert zones. In Central and Eastern Europe, MultiCam proves especially effective in autumn or among dried vegetation. Widely acclaimed, MultiCam has been adopted by numerous military and special operations units globally. In 2010, the US Army officially selected this camouflage for personnel deployed in Afghanistan, supplanting the former Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian availability of the pattern has also made it a preferred option among military, outdoor, and airsoft enthusiasts.

    I've already collected quite a lot of patches from M-Tac and this is my latest addition. It completed my collection of Quinn of Spades in other colors. This time, the background is the MM14 camouflage used by the armed forces of our eastern neighbor. The patch, like the others in the collection, is perfectly made, the velcro holds tight and adheres very well to any surface, even a curved one (e.g. arm).

    The patch is definitely worth attention because of its design, but the quality of workmanship falls short compared to other patches from this company. Still, if you like the pattern, I definitely recommend getting it.

    It may not be the most combat-ready patch design, but the multicam background definitely is. So far I've managed to purchase all the cat-themed designs available at Militaria.pl. Their size is "just right" to attach on the sleeve of, for example, a thermal shirt, and the flexible material and low weight don’t cause creasing on lightweight shirts, so it's basically dedicated for such clothing.
