MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage pattern introduced in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, developed in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. Designed to deliver effective concealment across diverse terrains and fluctuating environmental conditions, MultiCam employs a seven-color palette blended through gradient transitions among green, brown, and beige hues. These transitions allow the pattern to naturally adapt to its surroundings, reflecting green tones in wooded areas and browns or beiges in arid and desert landscapes—performing especially efficiently in Central and Eastern European regions during autumn or among dry vegetation. MultiCam has achieved global acclaim and is in service with various military and special operations units worldwide. In 2010, the US Army officially adopted this camouflage as the standard pattern for personnel stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian availability of the pattern has also made it highly popular among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
