Good flashlight, well-built and fitted (in my opinion, the head is even a bit too tight, but that's not a big problem). It works even longer than the promised 3 hours. Of course, not at the full two thousand lumens—after some time, it switches to a lower mode. In my unit, I haven't experienced issues with the diode flickering or disconnecting. Minus one star because after removing the head and narrowing the light beam, the USB port is completely exposed—there's no protection at all! Supposedly, we have an IPX4 rating here, which means splash resistance, but with a completely exposed USB port, all it takes is a dirty hand (as in my case), and you have to dig out mud with a toothpick... ;) This one little sealing ring wouldn't raise the costs, but its lack could lead to charger damage. You can, of course, get an external charger (which is a very good idea—the replaceable battery is definitely a plus for Mactronic), but again, that's another extra cost for the buyer.

The flashlight generally fulfills its functions, but I have some comments. When turned on at full power, the light weakened by about 300 lumens after just three minutes and stayed at that level, which I somewhat understand because it allows longer use of the flashlight. After two hours of use, I turned it off and was overall rather satisfied. However, after turning it on again at maximum power, after about ten minutes, within a minute the bulb began to flicker, as if it was overheating or burning out—I’m not sure if I got a faulty unit. At the beginning, the flashlight worked flawlessly and I praised it to my friends. I don’t want to badmouth anyone, I’m just describing my experience with this particular flashlight from the manufacturer. I wanted to take it to the mountains, but now I’m afraid that the LED or bulb will stop working, so I currently rate this product as unreliable.
