Lightweight cap in MAPA B camouflage. Crafted from a robust and elastic blend of polyester and elastane, the cap ensures an excellent fit to the contours and circumference of the head.

The components used are quick-drying, facilitating effective moisture transfer to the exterior, which provides outstanding thermoregulation and breathability. Flat seams enhance comfort during extended wear.

The MAPA camouflage pattern was developed by Maciej Dojlitko—a graduate and current lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, and author of the publication Theory of the Deconstruction of Visual Communication Tools for Designing Military Camouflage (Gdańsk 2015). This innovative creation, grounded in thorough theoretical and practical analysis—including computer processing of thousands of terrain photos—has drawn significant attention from industry specialists and defense apparel manufacturers. MAPA camouflage made its debut in 2017 at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce, featured on the Dromader load-carrying and uniform system designed by Maskpol, a member of the Polish Armaments Group. While originally intended for Territorial Defense Force personnel, MAPA camouflage has also been proposed as a potential standard for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the current 93 pattern camouflage. Despite these prospects, MAPA camouflage has not yet been adopted as the official pattern of the Polish Army.

Main features of the MAPA camouflage in the basic woodland variant
- 6 colors arranged in layers reminiscent of contour lines on a map
- colors specially matched for effectiveness in Central European woodlands
- three-dimensional illusion and anamorphosis effects utilized in the design
- biomorphic figures making the pattern closely resemble natural vegetation
- high-contrast features that replicate the effects of sunlight and shadow
- macro pattern deployment to distort the outline of the silhouette
- micro pattern presenting color noise to enhance concealment

The MAPA pattern serves as a compelling alternative to leading contemporary camouflages such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn, or Finnish M/05. In certain aspects, MAPA surpasses these designs with even more precise reproduction of colors found in Central European forests from late spring to early autumn.

The cap is more like a sports one than a regular one, which makes it dry much faster and easier, which suits me very well. If someone is looking for a cap in the style of a winter cotton one, you definitely need to look for a different product.

Very well-made cap. I have been using it for some time and I am very satisfied with the purchase. The cap is very warm. The camouflage looks better in person than in the photos. I recommend it.

The cut is completely wrong, the cap does not retain warmth. It is the same as a balaclava, but with two differences: it does not cover the face and due to the two layers of material that do not fit together, it is troublesome to put on. A better option would be to sew it from some fleece, it would be warmer and more comfortable.

The hat is very nicely sewn. Lightweight. Fits well. Perfect for light frosts... And it muffles my mother-in-law's chatter, which I consider the greatest advantage of this hat.

Very nice, lightweight cap in an impressive MAPA camouflage. Putting it on for the first time may be troublesome due to the double layer of slippery material, but once you manage it once, it's like riding a bike - you don't forget how. The cap is perfect for windless transitional periods when the air temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius. It is light and takes up little space, so you can put it in any, even flat pocket.

Completely missed purchase. The cap is sewn very strangely, as if two ends of an elastic snood/scarf were joined and sewn at the top. The material is very slippery, and the cap is not warm as the description suggests, because it is made of very thin fabric. The only plus is the MAPA camouflage, which I really like and that's why I was tempted, but I do not recommend it to others. As for the universal size - it is indeed stretchy, but it is rather made for larger heads, because on mine (58) it is a bit too loose and too deep. Rolling it up slightly like a docker helps, but then it slips off the head even more easily (slippery material and too big).
